FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarina Harrison and Trevor Jackson
We’re so excited to celebrate with you! Below you’ll find answers to some common questions about our wedding weekend — from travel and attire to schedule details. If there’s anything we didn’t cover, don’t hesitate to reach out. We want to make your trip as easy and enjoyable as possible!
Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is beachy formal — think vibrant, elegant, and fun! We’d love to see colorful outfits that reflect the tropical setting. Lightweight fabrics and bold prints are welcome. For the guys: no suits necessary — dress shirts, linen pants, and breezy button-ups are perfect. Just remember, the ceremony will be on the sand, so choose footwear that’s comfortable and beach-friendly. We want everyone to look great and feel relaxed!

Question

What is the dress code for the yacht day?

Answer

For our Saturday yacht day, we’re going with an all-white theme! Please wear white attire that's comfortable and cruise-ready — think linen, sundresses, swimwear with coverups, or breezy white outfits. It’ll make for great photos and a fun, cohesive vibe on the water!

Question

What is the weather like in Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

Mid-April is one of the best times to visit Puerto Vallarta! Expect warm, sunny, and dry days with average highs around 85–90°F and cooler evenings in the 65–70°F range. Rain is very unlikely, and the ocean is a perfect 78–80°F for swimming. Pack light, breathable clothing, sun protection, and something comfortable for the evening breeze!

Question

Where can I exchange currency in Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

You’ll find several easy options for exchanging money once you arrive in Puerto Vallarta: ATMs: The easiest and often best exchange rates. Just be sure to notify your bank before traveling and use machines at reputable banks or inside your hotel. Currency exchange booths (casas de cambio): Located at the airport, in hotel zones, and throughout downtown. Rates vary slightly, so it’s worth comparing. Hotels: Some resorts offer exchange services, though rates may not be as favorable. U.S. dollars are widely accepted at tourist spots, but having pesos on hand is helpful for tips, taxis, and local shops.

Question

What all should I pack?

Answer

Light, breathable clothing for warm days Evening layers (like a light sweater or jacket for breezy nights) Swimwear and cover-ups for the beach and yacht day All-white outfit for Yacht Day Beachy formal attire for the wedding (see attire FAQ!) Comfortable sandals or flat shoes (the wedding is on sand!) Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat Bug spray (especially for outdoor evenings) Small bills or pesos for tips and local purchases

Question

How far is the hotel from the airport?

Answer

The Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Great Moments is about 15 minutes (4–5 miles) from Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). You can easily get there by taxi or ride-share: ~15–20 minutes depending on traffic

Question

Is the hotel all-inclusive and kid friendly?

Answer

Yes! The Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Great Moments is an all-inclusive resort, which means meals, drinks, and many activities are included in your stay. It’s also kid-friendly, offering family-friendly pools, activities, and amenities for guests of all ages. Whether you're coming solo, as a couple, or with little ones, the hotel is a great fit for everyone in the group!

Question

How close is the hotel to downtown Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

The Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Great Moments is in a prime location — just a 10–15 minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride to downtown Puerto Vallarta and the famous Malecón boardwalk. You’ll be close to shops, restaurants, local markets, and all the vibrant energy the city has to offer — perfect for exploring during your stay!

Question

Should we bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for! Since we’ll all be traveling and luggage space is limited, we kindly ask that you do not bring physical gifts to the wedding. If you'd like to contribute to our future home, feel free to visit our registry — but please know that your love and support mean the most to us.
