We couldn't resist adding this one, as it features Trevor's name! Luckily, the food and drinks live up to the name. Located right by the train tracks in San Juan Capistrano, it's an excellent spot for a delicious meal in a fun setting.
The flatbreads are a must-try, and the outdoor patio makes for the most relaxing atmosphere. On weekends, you can usually catch live music, which makes the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for a cozy morning stop, Hidden House is the place for you! It’s an adorable coffee shop with a welcoming vibe and some of the friendliest baristas around.
Trevor's little sister recommended this place, and it's incredible! The breakfast burritos are fantastic, and the pastry selection was a dream come true.
As a relatively new addition to San Juan, this is a fun place to explore. Think of it as a little village of local shops, food spots, and even a petting zoo.
Some of the best thrifting around! Great for getting holiday decor, sports memorabilia, classic cookware, or literally anything. You will spend at least an hour here or more.
Fun fact: Lexi hosted a PBS special on the history of Orange County. She doesn't remember anything about it, and it never aired. However, this was one of the locations.
If you think you know your order, then I’m sorry to say this, but no, you do not. This is what you get: Drinks: The Hawaiian Mule Appetizer: Crispy Potstickers Dinner: Da Big Mixed Plate You’re welcome!
We absolutely love coming here for their cheese plate, espresso martinis, and also the drama. Sometimes the owner and bartender argue, or sometimes they’re making out. You never know what you’re going to get with them, but you do know that the tiramisu will be delicious.
With live music, an inviting atmosphere, and some of the best drinks around, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself. Even Lexi (who never orders salads when eating out) swears by their Caesar with chicken. And here’s a pro tip: order the Hugo Spritz and you’ll basically get two glasses of wine for the price of one.
As the Cellars sister restaurant, Jane is one of the best places in town to get drinks. Their classic old-fashioned is the way to go, but their bartenders are really great at making just about anything you want. Arrive early, as this place tends to fill up and get busy.
Love love love this place! It’s a Goonies-themed bar! Need we say more?
A super beachy and adorable place that serves the best crunchy French toast ever, and the bacon is always crispy. It’s tiny inside, but if you can get a seat, snag it. We usually order for pickup and have it on Sundays while watching One Piece. Also, their shirts are cute and make a great souvenir.
Beautiful gardens, historical exhibits, and Pokémon Go stops. Just a short walk from the ocean and Fisherman's, where you can grab a beer and some fantastic clam chowder.
With sweeping ocean views and a relaxed coastal vibe, San Clemente Municipal Golf Course is our friend groups favorite! It’s an enjoyable course for golfers of all levels. Lexi could even play it if she wanted to…but she doesn’t.
There are about 4-5 thrift shops in a row on El Camino, and they are all excellent. Here are the names of the ones we know: La Tienda, Restoration, The Bargain Box, Coral Thrift, and the Pac-Rat.
Best Sushi in town! Sit at the bar and meet Hide, the stand-up comedian sushi artist. We love him, we love his Sushi, and that's all we can say about that.
We play Pokémon Go here while we drink coffee. Most of the time, we have to go home early because we forget to take Lactaid. It's a great place to purchase souvenirs and admire the boats and water. Shout out to Richard Henry Dana, one of the only people Lexi remembers talking about on the PBS show.
Might have a lot of babies, might not. Great if you enjoy the outdoors for activities like paddle boarding, kayaking, and other outdoor pursuits.
We attended a "Sharks After Dark" event and were the only people in attendance. Regardless, we had a ton of fun and did learn about sharks. Not really an aquarium, but it's still a pleasant experience nonetheless.
This place is incredible. Trevor took Lexi here for their 5th anniversary and got a drink that came with a performance. Make a reservation and ask for a view. It's worth it.
This ramen rivals that of Japan. We recently tried the karaage chicken, and it was exceptional. Come here, and you'll leave fuller and happier than ever.
This is where Trevor designed Lexi’s ring. Collin and Monique are incredible at creating and curating an incredible collection of jewelry. Practically half of their friends shop here.
