Our Story

First Comes Paint, Then Comes Love

The couple officially met face to face on Trevor's driveway. Lexi brought paint supplies, and the two began to do a trend: filling a cup with paint, flipping it onto a canvas, and lifting the cup away. Trevor got paint on the driveway and himself, Lexi didn't bring enough paint, and the color combination they picked turned out to mostly be brown. The art project was an epic fail, but the two had so much fun. Lexi didn't shut up for about two hours due to nerves, and Trevor spilled three beers due to nerves...and just being himself. This first date ended without a kiss, but Trevor was quite persistent in catching Lexi's attention. The next day, he asked her for an immediate second date to go on a hike. Lexi was a bit nervous when the hiking spot wasn't a typical trail but a place off the beaten path where Trevor spent his younger years riding his bike with friends. With a disposable camera, the two made a scavenger hunt for each other and spent the sunny afternoon running about in the grassy area behind the Ladera Ranch Taco Bell. That evening, they shared In-N-Out in the back of Trevors 4Runner. With bravery and burger breath, Trevor asked to kiss Lexi, and she said yes. After spending two days together, Trevor still wanted more time with Lexi, which slightly weirded her out. He asked to drop off a book for her, and that was when she knew she could see herself really liking him. As time went by, the couple fell for one another over many nights of talking about books, watching Star Wars, building Legos, eating bacon, and laughing until they couldn't breathe. Lexi couldn't tell you when she knew Trevor was the one; she just knew that he had moved his way into her heart in a way no one else had ever done. But, if you asked Trevor, it was the first time he saw her walking down his street with canvases and paints in hand.
