We do have a room block for the night of the wedding, Friday June 14, however it is only for about 12 rooms (it's a small hotel). While some people are planning to stay at the hotel, many people will be staying back in central Florence at their respective hotels and AirBnb's. The Villa Tolomei is only about 3km from the Ponte Vecchio, which is a short 10-15min taxi. We encourage you to choose whichever options works the best for you, and don't want anyone to have FOMO if they aren't staying the night at the villa. Both are great options! Please disregard the villa's website prices. AirBnb is your friend! We love using AirBnb and we are using it for most of our trip. If you haven't used it before, we highly suggest you look into it.
Flight
Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR), is the international airport of Florence. If you are flying into Florence this is the airport code to look for.
Train
If you will be coming from another city in Italy, or are planning to do some traveling before/after our wedding, we highly recommend using Trenitalia. It is remarkably inexpensive to travel around the country and very reliable. Visit their website and download their app before the trip. If taking the train into Florence for the wedding, the train station is called Firenze Santa Maria Novella, and is centrally located.
