Officiant
We felt like we hit the lotto when Dylan agreed to be our officiant! We wanted to have someone up there with us who knows our story and brings good vibes wherever he goes, ergo Dylan was the only choice for us. We know our marriage will be a blessed one with him helping us begin it. Fun fact: Dylan attended ministry school online and is now ordained by Universal Life Church. He worked closely with us to figure out our vision for the wedding ceremony and pieced everything together.
Sister of Honor
Nichole...my first sister. The one who came and shook up my "only child" world. She has taught me so much over the years, one of my favorite lessons being how to share...not just things, but also to be open and be myself. Through all of my challenges and life's journeys, she has always been one phone call away and has been a rock in my life. That quote about sisters being a promise of a best friend for life...so true, and as the years go by our bond continues to grow stronger. Thank you, Nichole, for helping us plan our wedding and being here for us always! We love you so much! Fun Fact: Nichole will be collaborating with Catherine Lewis to make our wedding cakes! She has so many talents and we are lucky she has offered to contribute this to our special day.
Bridesmaid
When I think of my childhood friend Erica I think of sleepovers, camping trips, trick-or-treating, and so much more. I have so many cherished memories growing up with this beautiful woman. As children, we lived right across the street from one another and spent so much time together. Even as we live in different states, our friendship has remained tried and true. Now, years later, I am an honorary auntie to her five amazing children. I feel so lucky to have Erica and her family join me on my wedding day. Fun fact: Erica and I have been friends for 30 years....damn, we old girl! Erica is also traveling from Colorado to California with her four children and hubby in tow. Again...no easy feat! Offer this girl a drink!
Junior Bridesmaid
My little sister Makya is so excited to be a part of the bridal party and has been an AMAZING support throughout the wedding planning process. Whenever I started freaking out (thanks COVID-19) she knew what to say to calm me down. Makya has always shown so much wisdom and maturity beyond her years and I am so thankful to call her not only my sister, but also one of my best friends. I am thrilled that she is able to experience this special day an age where she can truly participate and remember everything. I am also so thankful to have this sweet young lady by my side to support me. As she used to say..."Heeeeeeere's party!" Fun fact: Makya helped me pick out my veil and has a very special role in the wedding ceremony, but we won't give away any surprises here.
Junior Bridesmaid
Throughout the almost-decade Makya and Cheyenne have been friends, I have always called Cheyenne my "adopted-sister" because where Makya was, there Cheyenne would be. They have shared so many wonderful times together and I have enjoyed watching them grow up and develop such a strong friendship. I am so happy Cheyenne has joined the bridal party and will share in more family memories. Fun fact: Like Erica, Cheyenne lives right up the street from Makya so it is easy for them to meet up and hang out. Also, Cheyenne was really hoping to find some really cool, tall punk shoes to wear with her bridesmaid gown, but we couldn't find anything in taupe.
