We went here on our first date. Needless to say, we highly recommend!
After dinner at Dominique's on our first date, we went here for dessert! We both love the chocolate chip cookie dough!
A fun experience for our 21+ aged guests - try all kinds of beer and wine and only pay by the ounce!
Rent a bike for you and yours to cycle up and down the famous Strand! The entire Strand (aka "Marvin Braude Bike Trail") is about 22 miles long, from Torrance to Santa Monica, so biking is a fun way to enjoy some beachfront exercise and see a lot of Los Angeles.
The Redondo Beach Pier is a fun place to visit with restaurants, bars and shops for all tastes! Walk around to enjoy a waterfront view and catch some sightings of sea lions and pelicans!
Enjoy a day at one of our favorite California beaches! Aside from swimming and sunbathing, there's plenty of fun restaurants and bars for every taste - something for everyone can be found here!
Stroll around Manhattan Beach to see all kinds of shops and eateries, and chance upon seeing an LA athlete (e.g., King, Laker, Clipper, Dodger, Ram, etc.). At the end of the pier also lives the Roundhouse Aquarium, in which you can touch and see small aquatic life native to the Pacific Ocean.
Find a variety of eateries and shops at The Point in El Segundo! The outdoor mall has plenty for every taste, and a fun outdoor area for relaxation and play.
Riviera Village is a block away from the Redondo Beach Promenade, and has plenty of dining and shopping options. Feel free to stroll before or after towards the beach!
If you’re interested in a fun evening, book an evening in advance at the Hermosa Beach Comedy and Magic Club! (Psst... Jay Leno often performs on Sunday nights! Brittney enjoyed going to one of his performances, in which both of his opening acts and Jay himself all joked about how beautiful she was sitting in the front row.)
Grab a Beach Bun (a delicious doughnut and ice cream combo) or homemade ice cream or any dessert of your choosing at the Manhattan Beach Creamery! This staple has been around for forever for good reason - it’s delicious. You may even see a star there - Mike once followed Vince Vaughn into Manhattan Beach Creamery when he first moved to LA.
For a hearty breakfast (or any meal, really), stop by The Kettle! Brittney and her family enjoy going there on many weekends for a delightful brunch, where they have the best (and freshest) muffins. One of Brittney’s fondest memories is going there for brunch and running into Heisman Winner Matt Leinart and getting a “fight on” symbol from him because of her USC attire.
Brittney’s recommendation for delicious, Michelin-star Chinese soup dumplings!
Mike’s recommendation for Chinese food! Tell us if you prefer Mike’s or Brittney’s recommendation!
Amazing dim sum!
