We will continue to take precautions that place the health & safety of our guests, especially our most vulnerable family & friends, as our top priority. We hope you'll support us in making this day as safe as possible by complying with our precautionary measures. - Each guest's temperature will be taken before entering the banquet hall. If you read as feverish, you may be asked to be seated outside. - Masks are required to be worn indoors when not eating or drinking. Disposable masks will be available for use. - Hand sanitizer will be available at each table, and a sanitizing station available for use when away from your table. - Tables are planned to be set up outside for use, if you would like to minimize your time spent indoors. Please let us know if you are vaccinated or intending to get a COVID-19 test within three (3) days of our wedding. While we will not ask for proof of vaccination or test, we hope you will do your part to ensure a safe event for all!
As we all adapt to an uncertain time with COVID-19 (coronavirus), we are monitoring the news carefully to ensure that we adhere to local laws and guidelines. We are prepared to take every precaution necessary to make our wedding safe for our guests, even if that means postponing it. Our wedding is currently happening as planned, and we look forward to celebrating with you all on September 25! At this point, we've been advised that a September wedding should be safe. Please book your accommodations as you normally would, but check first for a lenient cancellation policy, which most hotels and airlines are happy to provide in light of current events. That being said, the safety of our guests is our utmost priority. Please check our website and national and local public health websites regularly for updates. Thank you for your love, patience, and concern.
In our invitations, we had requested per previous guidance in LA County given to our venue requires all wedding attendees are vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or receive a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the wedding. Please note that this is now no longer the case and we are back to pre-pandemic planning (for now)! We appreciate everyone who has sent their vaccination cards ahead of time, and will keep everyone posted if circumstances change.
Please reference our Schedule page on the wedding website for any updates to wedding events. At this time, we are currently planning a pre-wedding bar hop event in Hermosa Beach the Thursday evening before the wedding to spend quality time with close friends and family able to attend prior to the formal wedding festivities.
We appreciate your thoughtfulness to share your photos with us! While we will request that our ceremony is "unplugged", please feel free to take photos at the reception! Please upload your photos to our shared Google Photos album at this link: https://tinyurl.com/tortistietheknot Also feel free to tag your photos on the following social media platforms with the hashtag #tortistietheknot: - Facebook - Instagram (also tag @beemadera)
Since the ceremony and reception are both held at the Portofino Hotel, transportation will not be necessary. We recommend using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft as transportation, if you are staying offsite.
We are registered on Zola. Our registry is accessible on the Registry tab of our wedding website.
We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
We do not have a hotel block reserved, but recommend staying onsite at the Portofino Hotel or at a nearby hotel. There are plenty of choices within walking distance of our venue! Please see the Travel tab of our wedding website for nearby hotel recommendations, or search on Airbnb for other accommodation options.
