Winter Travel in Tahoe

Tahoe winter weather can be tricky. It could be snowy or not for the time of year for our wedding. We recommend driving up (if coming from the Bay Area) with All Wheel Drive and/or chains in your car.

This is where we will be having our wedding. Guests are offered a discounted rate by reserving either on the website (specific link below) or calling. There is a two night minimum for Thursday and Friday night ($$-$$$). Additionally when you book, you will see the resort fee and parking fee at the full rate, however at check-out you will receive a discount from the $55 to $25 for each. Tahoe is a destination, so there are lots of options should you choose to rent a house. AirBnB and VRBO options are available. We'd recommend anything in the Kings Beach or Truckee area to limit any additional driving. Torrie has a decent amount of options for couple or families, if you are interested. ($-$$) If you are driving into the Ritz the day of the wedding, we will offer parking for $15 for the entire day. Uber could be an option as well (if you choose to enjoy adult beverages).

This is the closest airport to fly into, with roughly a 45-minute drive into the Tahoe area.
