Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Tori Miller and Nate Card
We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in DC with you. If you need additional recommendations for things to do, reach out to Tori or Nate!
National Mall

National Mall

2 15th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20024

Our hotel blocks are conveniently located near the National Mall, making it easy to explore DC’s most iconic sights by Metro, bike, or on foot. Take a stroll to see the Capitol, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial, and enjoy visiting nearby Smithsonian museums like the Air and Space Museum and the Portrait Gallery (two of our favorites).

Tidal Basin

Tidal Basin

20245 National Drive, Washington, DC 20024

Our guests might catch the tail end of DC’s famous cherry blossoms, which usually reach their peak in late March or early April. The best place to see these beautiful blooms is the Tidal Basin! While you’re there, be sure to visit the Jefferson Memorial. Even if peak bloom has passed, the Tidal Basin is still a lovely spot for a scenic walk and a classic DC springtime experience.

National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade

National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade

Constitution Avenue NW between 7th and 17th Streets, Washington, DC 20004

The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade runs for 10 blocks along iconic Constitution Avenue from 11AM - 1:30PM on Saturday, April 11th. The parade features giant balloons, floats, performances, and marching bands. You can enjoy the parade for free along 9th to 15th Streets.

Georgetown University

Georgetown University

3700 O Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20057

Take a stroll down memory lane and see where Nate went to school (and where Tori spends two nights a week in class). From Healy Hall to the Hariri Building to Wisey's...be a Hoya for the day! There are also tons of fun restaurants and shopping on the main street (M St NW).

Eastern Market

Eastern Market

225 7th Street Southeast, Washington, DC 20003

Eastern Market is in the heart of Capitol Hill (our neighborhood), offering a vibrant mix of vendors with fresh food and drinks, handmade crafts, clothing, art, and more. We go every weekend -- look for "Little Tibet Boutique" if you want to buy a fun matching set like Nate!

Navy Yard

Navy Yard

Washington, DC

If you're looking to be on the water (and if you want to see where Nate proposed), we recommend taking a trip to the Navy Yard! It is a fun neighborhood on the Anacostia River with great restaurants and bars. Some of our favorites include Albi, Dacha Beer Garden (boots of beer!), Salt Line, All Purpose Pizza, and El Rey.
