What will the Wedding Day look like?

Answer

The day will begin with our wedding ceremony at 1:00 pm in Baldwinsville, NY. The ceremony will likely be somewhere between thirty to forty-five minutes. Afterwards, there will be a short recess as the wedding party and immediate family take pictures - guests are encouraged during this time to make their way downtown (about a twenty minute's drive) to enjoy the many amenities of Armory Square. Please see our Things to Do tab for recommendations. At 4:30, the front doors will open at The Landmark Theatre in downtown Syracuse and guests will be welcomed in for a cocktail hour. Dinner will likely be served around 5:45, and then our entire congregation will be encouraged to dance and drink and make merry to their heart's content.

We ask that our guests RSVP by September 1st, 2023.

What should I wear?

Answer

We hope our guests will take this opportunity to dress to impress. Gentlemen should feel encouraged to wear a jacket; ladies, a cocktail dress or evening gown. Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors, and our vision is for a celebration that feels like a ritzy night at the theatre.

If you received a "plus one," they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Apart from select members of our wedding party, we ask that this be an adults-only affair. (21+)

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 pm at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Baldwinsville, NY. There is ample parking in the rear. Please arrive early enough to allow time to find your seat (and greet our other excited guests!)

Where do I park?

The ceremony venue has a parking lot. For our reception: 1.) Street parking is available in and around the reception venue 2.) Our hotel has an attached parking garage for $12 per day 3.) The Atrium parking garage is nearby and is a favorite of our's

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The ceremony will be at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Baldwinsville, NY. The tall, gray church sits on 47 Syracuse St, just past the bridge heading out of the village. To get from the ceremony to the reception, head south on 690 towards downtown Syracuse, take Exit 12 towards W. Genesee St, and continue on to S. Salina St.

May I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We hope our guests will keep their phones down during the ceremony, as we want everyone to be mentally present and enjoying the moment. There will be plenty of time for pictures before and afterwards.

What sort of food and beverages will be served at the wedding?

Answer

There will be light, passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a buffet-style dinner, and dessert later in the evening. As for drinks, there will be an open bar during the reception with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Is there a hotel room block for guests?

Answer

For your convenience, we have booked a block of rooms at a hotel within walking distance from our reception venue. Please call (315) 425-0500 and ask for the "Recuparo and Ford Wedding" block. We hope you will join us!

May I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
