Wedding Party

Meeting our wonderful bridesmaids, groomsmen and officiant!

Kate Arion

Maid of Honor

I was lucky enough to be born into the world with a live-in best friend. Katie and I hardly fought and could always count on each other for entertainment during any school or family function. It's been easy to look up to her, from her days at Dartmouth, to conserving the environment, to working for American University. What a bonus to have an event planner as my Maid of Honor!!

Rosey Mongeau

Bridesmaid

I met Rosey in class freshman year of college. We bonded over our love of TV and movies, and quickly became inseparable. She is/was the best roommate ever (sorry Tony.) I had the most fun cooking, laughing, and dancing with her. Rosey has been there for me through the good and bad times of adulthood. I can't wait to share more experiences together the rest of our lives.

Kelly McLoon

Bridesmaid

Kelly and I met through Rosey. I soon learned how brilliant she was and that she loved hockey as much as I do. Kelly is my travel buddy, fellow crime podcast enthusiast, and I know I can call her any time to vent or need someone to agree with me. She's an inspiration, and an all-around amazing woman, and I'm so happy she can share my special day.

Missy Hartley

Bridesmaid

Missy is my childhood best friend. From acting in The Country School plays to walking to high school almost every day together, she was always by my side. I remember celebrating birthdays, going to the Columbia Mall, where we discovered the magical world of The Cheesecake Factory. Missy is kind, smart, funny, and a million other things that make her a great friend and bridesmaid.

Stacey Sweeny

Bridesmaid

Stacey is not only my future sister-in-law, but also a true friend. I've loved getting to know her over the years, visiting Ohio, traveling to Death Valley, and Facetiming on weekends. She has given me so much advice and help with wedding planning. I'm so excited to join the family.

Julie Castillo

Bridesmaid

I am also gaining a sister in Julie. Her laid back personality and warm heart always put me at ease. She welcomed me into the family with open arms and made me feel right at home. One of these summers I'll get myself to Bonnaroo and she can show me how it's done!

Erik Bakken

Best Man

Erik & I met at film school in Colorado and we clicked instantly. We were each other’s right-hand man on every project back then while also hitting the Denver bars regularly. Our conversations would range from Stanley Kubrick to politics to standup comedy to our shared Midwestern upbringings and anything else in between. We then transitioned to film/TV work for actual $$$ and moved out to Los Angeles. The move was temporary for him, but despite now being on opposite coasts, it’s pretty easy to always pick up where we left off. Now if we can just convince his son, Lou, to be our ring bearer.

Darren Valdez

Groomsman

Darren is another friend I met while in Colorado who made the move out west with us. He and I shared an apartment for the first five years out here, and it’s impossible to overstate how much easier moving to Los Angeles is when your roommate is one of the most genuinely good guys on earth. Even when the world shut down, Darren never left our bubble over the past year. He came over regularly for socially-distanced movie nights to replace our favorite pastime of going to the movie theaters (he’s a true cinephile).

Jacob Swanson

Groomsman

Jake and I go all the way back to freshman year of high school where we shared a defensive backfield for the Central Catholic Fighting Irish football team. He was my best friend for all four of those years and we never lost touch despite my bouncing around the country. Whenever I’m in Toledo we make it a point to get together, whether it’s to watch the Browns or to hit up the CrossFit gym (where he puts me to shame). I was his groomsman, and it’s an honor to have him reciprocate for me.

Brian Sweeny

Groomsman

Brian married my sister, Stacey, which makes him my brother in-law in law (he’s a cop). And he likes dad jokes too so that one's for him. It’s pretty amazing how seamlessly he fits right into the tight knit Castillo clan. Now having spent multiple holiday seasons together, as well as taking a few trips, it’s hard to imagine him not being a part of the family.

Carlos Olvera

Groomsman

Carlos was a roommate of mine at Ohio State, and another friend with whom I remember clicking very quickly. We shared a similar taste in movies and music, which was a bond I hadn’t really found with anyone else until going away to college. Long nights of beer pong, while listening to The Killers and The Strokes, has transitioned to long nights of Zooming while listening to The Killers and The Strokes. He’s also been a hospitable host in his hometown of Chicago for multiple Lollapaloozas throughout the years, and I’m pretty certain there will be a few more to come.

Dustin Bailey

Groomsman

Dustin was randomly placed across the hall from me in the dorm my freshman year at Ohio State, and we’ve been friends ever since. We roomed together the following year and sat together at many a game in the Horseshoe during the glory years of the early Jim Tressel era. We stay in touch regularly to this day, exchanging hundreds of texts during an average NFL Sunday. He’s a standup guy whom I’m happy to say has recently made his way out west.

Jess Antrobus

Officiant

Jess and Taylor met as struggling artists trying to pay the bills working at Color Me Mine. They easily bonded painting pottery, shopping, and going out to lunch. She was a regular at our watch parties, watching Game of Thrones and The Handmaid's Tale weekly. Her commentary during TV shows is the best. She is so funny, sweet, and talented. It was a no-brainer for us to choose her as our officiant.
