The third time's the charm...

Let's try this again! After postponing due to Covid, once again, we are looking forward to finally being able to celebrate our marriage in Edinburgh on April 2, 2022, and we hope you can join us! We postponed the wedding because we were not confident we could provide a safe environment for everyone, with cases spiking in the UK. However, early indicators show that Omicron is likely to peak by the end of January, giving adequate time for cases to drop by April. The UK government has already begun to loosen up Covid testing and quarantine requirements. We will be monitoring travel requirements closely and keep you updated as they change.  Thank you for bearing with us during these unpredictable times, and showing such patience. We understand how frustrating these changes of plans can be and hope you'll be able to make the new date work!

A Few Things to Note

Current Covid Travel Restrictions Starting Feb. 11th, if you are fully vaccinated, you will not need to take a COVID-19 test before you travel to the UK or after you arrive. You will just need proof that you're vaccinated (your CDC card) and a completed passenger locator form. The US currently is requiring a negative Covid test taken within one day of the flight's departure to the US before boarding (or documentation of recovery from Covid in the previous 90 days). The test must be a nucleic acid amplification test [NAAT] or antigen test. We will continue to update with any changes! Accommodations There are plenty of hotel and Airbnb options in Edinburgh that are within walking distance to the wedding venue. We recommend staying in Old Town or New town, and booking refundable accommodation as soon as you can. Check out the Travel Page for a list of recommended hotels (all with flexible cancellation policies). Flights The closest airport to fly into is Edinburgh (~20 minutes from the city center). You could also fly into Glasgow and drive or take the train in (~1 hr). Alternatively, you could fly into London and take another flight or train up to Scotland. More info on the Travel Page. Weather April will be slightly warmer, drier and sunnier, but still chilly enough to wear any outfits you had planned for January 1st. (Note: kilts & fascinators are still highly encouraged). Average April temperatures in Edinburgh are 52° / 39° (F). You can warm up in any number of the local pubs with some delicious haggis and a wee dram. Whether you can make a longer weekend out of the trip or just join for our wedding, we cannot wait to celebrate with you! XO Andrew & Tonya
