How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Driving to Catalyst will give you the most control and flexibility regarding your arrival. Nature Link Resort is located on S Clark Lake Rd, just off MN-371N. The most straight forward driving directions from Minneapolis proper are to take I-94W, transfer to US-10W, and then transfer again to MN-371N. There is plenty of parking on-site.

What if I don't have a car?

Answer

We highly suggest renting a car and/or carpooling with other guests for ease of travel. However - it is entirely possible to get to the Brainerd Lakes Area with public transportation. If you're flying into MSP, you can catch the Groome Shuttle Bus from either terminal in the direction of Brainerd. The shuttle's final stop is The Lodge at Brainerd Lakes in Baxter, tickets are purchased online before boarding for $69 one way. If you're willing to fly Delta, you can likely fly into Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport (BRD) after a short layover in MSP, and take a taxi to your choice of lodging from there. Local taxi services such as Grab-a-Cab will be your best bet for moving between Brainerd and Nisswa as Uber and Lyft can really be hit or miss in the area.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin at 4:00p, so please arrive to Catalyst by 3:30p to have time to meet, greet, and find a seat :) If you find yourself running behind, please wait to seat yourself until after the bride has made her way to the altar.

What do I wear?

Answer

We're suggesting formal/cocktail attire for our wedding. We are planning an outdoor ceremony as mid October in Minnesota still tends to be quite nice weather-wise; the temperature could run anywhere from the low 70s to the mid 50s - which we recognize is wildly unhelpful for your outfit planning. Bringing a lightweight jacket for the ceremony would be wise. In the event of inclement or "it's just too damn cold" weather, the ceremony will be moved inside. There is a self-service coat room located just inside the venue.

Are children welcome?

Answer

The Friday Night Hello on October 16th is open to family and friends of all ages. Please note our wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday October 17th is an invited adults only occasion. Thank you for understanding!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes alcohol will be served, but we will also have a large non-alcoholic menu including sodas and mocktails!
