Matron of Honor
Many know her as NBC4 DC’s morning anchor and mommy to Lola. However, to Tomi, Jummy will always be known as her big sister. Tomi will always credit Jummy for helping her gain her confidence to go after anything she wanted in life without any regrets. Jummy has always been someone that Tomi has always looked up to and couldn’t imagine growing up with anyone else besides Jummy and her brother Laide. Despite their almost 10 year age gap, their relationship has only grown closer as they’ve gotten older. Jummy has always been a phone call away and is someone that Tomi has always been able to trust and confide in. As the eldest child, Jummy has carried the weight and responsibility of being a older sister with so much grace and resilience. Tomi is beyond grateful to have the support from her big sister throughout the wedding process and beyond!
Best Man
Larry and Jerry’s bond runs deep and he wouldn’t trade that for anything. Jerry has been there to see all of the stages of Larry’s life. From a little brother just wanting to tag along because he was the coolest, to standing beside him at the alter. Larry modeled much of his adolescence after Jerry trying to learn his recipe. After meeting Tomi and being excited after their first date, Larry remembers calling Jerry and talking about how excited he was. Jerry is a great listener and takes the time to talk with Larry about how life’s going. Larry always says how easy it is to open to his older brother. Jerry has seen Larry at his lowest but always reassures him that he’s going to be at the top. It’s a blessing to have a brotherly connection where you can just tell off a look, tone, or body language exactly what the other person is going through. The family practically thinks we’re cheating at charades! All in all Larry is honored Jerry had him as part of his wedding, and couldn’t think of anyone else he’d rather have than Jerry as the Best Man at his wedding.
Officiant
Dayo is Tomi’s uncle joining the wedding celebrations all the way from Toronto, Canada! Majority of Tomi’s fondest memories visiting Canada involve her Uncle Dayo and Aunty Tinu, his wife. Larry had the chance to meet Dayo and the rest of Tomi’s extended family in Tulum, Mexico while celebrating Aunty Tinu’s birthday January 2024. As a pastor and the founder of Children of Promise Ministires, CHIPROMS Inc, Dayo spends many of his days traveling all over the world fulfilling his life mission of caring for orphaned and vulnerable children in Nigeria.
