Black Tie/Formal: We are hoping for a sunny mid-day ceremony that will be held outdoors on the terrace. Please dress accordingly! Ladies, please wear a long formal dress. Gentleman, please wear a dark colored suit (ex: black, grey, navy, brown)
NOTE: Sunday, November 1, 2026 is also Day Light Savings time in the US. Clocks will fall back 1hr so PLEASE keep this in mind given that the ceremony will start on time. The ceremony will be approximately 30-40 minutes long. Afterwards guests will be dismissed to go have lunch in downtown Frederick, rest, and get ready for the evening Yoruba ceremony/reception!

Formal, Traditional Nigerian Attire
Wedding colors for the Yoruba ceremony are Navy blue for attire and Burgundy/Raspberry red for accessories such as the: Gelè (women’s head scarf), shoulder piece, and Fila (men’s hat). Guests should also feel free to continue to wear their Black tie/formal attire for both ceremonies.
