Things To Do

The smallest state has a lot to offer and we love exploring it when we're not relaxing at Casa Peligro! Hope you all find something to enjoy here in the Ocean State!
John H. Chafee Rome Point Preserve

John H. Chafee Rome Point Preserve

1344 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852

"Rome Point" is a family favorite hiking trail close to the venue. The fairly flat trail starts from the parking lot on Route 1A and goes to a rocky beach on Narragansett Bay. The recommended loop on AllTrails is 2.4 miles but there are many offshoots to extend or shorten the distance. Look for seals on the rocks!

Providence: Westminster Street

Providence: Westminster Street

Westminster Street, Providence, RI

Providence has lots to offer and explore, especially with the giant Providence Place Mall. Our favorite area though is Westminster Street with all its shops and cafés.

Tilted Barn Brewery

Tilted Barn Brewery

One Hemsley Place, Exeter, RI 02822
, (401) 500-6765

Not far from the venue is the increasingly popular Tilted Barn Brewery - Rhode Island's first farm brewery!

Newport

Newport

Newport, RI

Mansions, cliff walks, beaches, shops, and restaurants galore! Come explore the beautiful seaside town first settled in 1639 by Thomas Hazard - Tom's 11th great-grandfather! *Boat shoes recommended*

Jamestown & Beavertail State Park

Jamestown & Beavertail State Park

Beavertail Road, Jamestown, RI 02835
, (401) 884-2010

The Jamestown bridge may be less impressive than the Newport bridge but Conanicut Island still has a lot to offer. Check out the lighthouse and rocks at Beavertail State Park at the southernmost tip or explore the abandoned Fort Wetherill in the southeast corner with views of Newport.

Wickford

Wickford

North Kingstown, RI 02852

Right in North Kingstown is beautiful, historic Wickford, a small seaside community with picturesque streets and small shops. Check out the art galleries and look out for the Wickford Art Festival which usually occurs during mid-July!

RI Beaches and Seafood

RI Beaches and Seafood

Narragansett, RI 02882

Lots of great beaches in RI. Check out Scarborough or Roger Wheeler beaches in Narragansett, stop by the Point Judith Lighthouse, and grab some clam cakes and chowder at Aunt Carrie's or Champlin's. Or head into South Kingston towards East Matunuck Beach and enjoy some clams at the Matunuck Oyster Bar.

Block Island

Block Island

New Shoreham, RI 02807

If you arrive early and have a day to explore take the ferry out to Block Island. Enjoy the shops in town, grab a drink on the beach at Ballard's, rent bikes or mopeds to explore the island, and hike down the stairs at the impressive Mohegan Bluffs!

For all the days along the way
