Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1, 2025. We know it seems early, but with everyone coming so far, we want to be able to plan in as much detail as possible - plus, flights are cheaper if you book earlier ;)

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We love you and we love those you love. However, unless your RSVP included a plus one, please plan to come solo - don't worry...we'll keep you with your friends and those who you already know to make sure you have a great time!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, and at your discretion, they are welcome to join us. HOWEVER, we want to be transparent: they are your responsibility - we don't have a dedicated children's area, and there are elements to the venue that aren't entirely suitable for children (think un-fenced pool and hot tub right next to dinner and dancing, unstable terrain on the mountainside, etc.). If you plan to bring your child(ren), please send an email to toddconvery2025@gmail.com by May 1, 2025.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Do you have any hotel recommendations? Where should I book to stay?

Answer

We recommend booking a hotel or apartment in the town of Sitges, about 30 minutes from Barcelona. This is the nearest town to the wedding and Welcome BBQ venue - and we will have shuttles to bring you from the venue back to this town both Friday and Saturday night. Cabs can be booked from your hotel or from the Train Station (about 5 minutes' walk from the city center and our recommended - and discounted! - hotels as listed under "Travel & Accomodations"). We have recommended a few hotels - and even provided some discounts - in town. You can find details under the tab for "Travel & Accommodation" on this website. There are also lots of great Airbnbs in the area for those looking to book as a group.

How can I get to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding (and welcome BBQ) venue is "Almiral de la Font" - a quick 10-15 minute drive from Sitges Train Station. Getting to the venue: Please find a cab to get to the wedding - all cabs will know the venue "Almiral de la Font." You can organize these via your hotel, or visit the queue at Sitges Train Station. Most cabs take credit card. Please note: Uber is not available in Sitges Returning from the venue: We have shuttles organized to help people safely return from the venue to Sitges Train Station from both Friday's BBQ and Saturday's Wedding - both taking place at Almiral de la Font. Of course, if you've rented a car, you can also drive to the venue. See more below.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

There is parking available at the venue, but it's limited. We recommend taking a cab from Sitges Train Station to get to the venue. We have shuttles organized to get you back to Sitges after both the Welcome BBQ and the wedding, itself!

What is the weather like in Barcelona and Sitges (and what should I pack)?

Answer

Weather in Spain in October is hard to predict, but it tends to be warmer than northern Europe and many parts of the US. We recommend bringing comfortable clothes and shoes for walking and exploring, a swimsuit if you're interested in swimming (weather-permitting), and some sweaters in case it gets chilly at night. While we hope you won't need it, it's always a good idea to pack a raincoat...just in case.

What is the agenda on the day of the wedding?

On October 25, 2025, join us for our wedding ceremony, dinner and party! We'll share a more specific timeline closer to the event, but you can expect to join us at the venue anytime from approximately 3pm. Please note: shuttles will be available to take guests back to Sitges Train Station between 11pm and 2am. To get to the venue, guests should plan taxis to the venue from town or their hotels. Don't worry, everyone in the area knows "Almiral de la Font"!

Do I need cash in Spain?

Answer

Yes! It's always great to have a little cash on hand, just in case. However, from restaurants and bars to taxis and public transport, credit and debit cards are widely accepted. Good to note: if you opt to take the bus from the aiport to Sitges, it accepts cash only. 10euro pp. You can withdraw cash at airport ATMs or ATMs in town, or exchange at home before travelling.
