Truly we have no idea what we’re doing, but apparently this is where we write about how we met. We’re not going to do that. You either know the blurry details or you’re bound to learn about them on the day. But what we will say is why we’ve chosen this location: We stayed in Sitges one evening in 2022, and a relaxing dinner turned into a 3am bar crawl turned into a late night dip in the sea. After which we noticed somebody (Chris) lost the hotel key and we had to sleep on a bench in the street. Trauma makes memories, and hey now we’re getting married here. We recognise that we are two people living outside of our home countries and we’re asking most of you to travel anyway - so we thought we’d take advantage of that and bring you to a place that holds fun memories for us, and where we can’t wait to build some more with all of you (but we are not liable for anyone losing any belongings and sleeping on a bench like we did). Sitges is a beautiful historic town on the beach - and definitely not what some people (Milo) call the “gay Benidorm” - and we think you’ll all love it as much we do! All this to say - sometimes we forget that our love is not recognised around the world and it’s only been 25 years since our marriage would be legally recognised anywhere at all - so we want to celebrate that with all the people closest to us, in a place that means so much to us.
