Kelle and Shubha became friends their freshman year in college, and became best friends by the time they reached their senior year. Kelle and Shubha oftentimes find themselves saying the exact same thing at the exact same time, leading them to question if they are, in fact, the exact same person. Shubha lives in Austin, TX with her partner Jesse.
Grant Nunneley

Todd first remembers meeting Grant at a BBQ hangout in 2008 for KANM Student Radio (The college station of College Station), where they probably discussed hard rock bands they both enjoyed. Later that year, Todd needed someone for an extra ticket for the AC/DC show in Houston and correctly figured that Grant would be just the guy. They became fast friends while joyfully headbanging during the performance. Through the years since, they formed several bands together, attended numerous baseball games, and critiqued an incalculable amount of beers. Todd admires Grant’s ability to learn new skills easily and maintain a silly outlook to life while being a role model and devoted family man. Grant lives in Boston with his wife Chloë, their border collie Maggie, and two cats Jet and Oliver.
Renuka Rege

Kelle met Renuka in college and their friendship flourished even though their dorms were at polar opposite sides of the campus (Rice folks, you understand the struggle of what would seem to an outsider to be a relatively short walk). After graduating college but before Renuka went to law school, she, Kelle, and Shubha (see above) lived it up for a couple of years as young twenty-somethings in Houston. In this context, the phrase "living it up" means hanging out at Kelle's apartment and occasionally exploring the Montrose dive bar scene. Renuka lives in Baltimore, MD with her husband Chris and their adorable dog Canela.
Charles Emmett

Todd met Chuck at the radio station sometime around 2008 when Chuck started tagging along at James’ show, then started his own show. The two quickly figured out they would be great friends, spending most of their time between classes in the KANM lounge yelling at sports on TV or conquering video games. Todd taught Chuck to love baseball, while Chuck made Todd’s Mario Kart experiences incredibly frustrating. They still get together often, usually by talking each other into multiple baseball or beach weekend trips. Todd and Chuck each have favorite places to visit in each other’s home cities. Todd appreciates Chuck’s upbeat energy and heart of gold you can always count on for support. Chuck lives in San Antonio with his wife Ann-Marie and their dog Max.
Claire Hardee

Kelle and Claire have been friends since they were 6 years old! Through elementary, middle, and high school, they shared slumber parties, class projects, band trips, and all the minutiae of growing up. Kelle has always admired Claire’s unflappable positivity and commitment to the people she cares about. Claire lives in Arizona with her husband Theodore and their three adorable boys.
James Hoelscher

Todd met James at KANM (obviously) in 2007 when James was already an established DJ man. James always knew the coolest band and could gently let you know if you were incorrect. Todd was impressed by James’ gift as a songwriter and attended every performance of James’ late-great band Almost Handsome. James has probably helped Todd move the most number of times, and he is always willing to host a bad-movie-watching night. Todd and James have attended several music festivals together within and outside of Texas, keeping a watchful eye on any new lineup announcements. James can consistently make the lame joke and commit to the pause long enough to get you to laugh, and his creative spirit and talent are unmatched. James lives in San Antonio with his wife Hayley and their two daughters.
Dr. Chaya Murali

Kelle and Chaya overlapped in college, but didn't become close friends until Kelle was in grad school and Chaya was in medical school. Their mutual friend Karthik fortuitously advised Chaya and Donna (see also: Dr. Donna Huang)—who were already two peas in a pod—that they’d love his other friend Kelle. The trio’s first delightful brunch together led to regularly scheduled “ladiez nitez”, which consisted of wine or margaritas and a general celebration of friendship. Kelle is constantly impressed by Chaya's talent for finding treasures at estate sales and finding the perfect Parks & Rec reference for any situation. Chaya lives in Houston, TX with her husband Kirtan and their impressively photogenic dog Franklin.
Tim Horn

Todd met Tim at a Ted Leo concert on the Rice University campus in 2010, even though they were both DJs at KANM (Tim spent too much of his time at Town Hall). Tim remembers that Todd’s yelling at sports in the station lounge would interfere with his radio show. Gradually they became friends and started playing in bands together as part of the Downtown Bryan scene. Tim and Todd have also frequented music festivals together, taken in baseball at Busch Stadium, and explored Joshua Tree National Park. Tim is always down to host a Team Dinner or pick up an instrument to fill out the group. Todd enjoys how Tim is keen to get a group of friends together and introduce new friends to each other. Tim lives in the Chicago with his fiancée Beth and their dogs Dill, Jack, and Daisy.
Dr. Donna Huang

Kelle and Donna overlapped in college, but didn't become close friends until Kelle was in grad school and Donna was in medical school. Kelle marvels at Donna's ability to be both a style icon and a queen of keeping it real. Donna lives in Houston, TX with her partner John.

Todd met Willie in 2004 when Willie enrolled to St. Alban’s Episcopal School in Arlington. Todd remembers how much of a pain Willie initially was to matchup against in football practice, even though he was a year younger. The two of course became friends through their mutual interests in sports, movies, and rock music. Willie’s house was closest to campus, allowing for a convenient after-school spot. Todd, Willie, and Todd’s cousin Chris attended numerous concerts and sporting events together, including the famed AC/DC show. Willie even lived in Bryan for a year with Todd and embraced the A&M spirit. Todd admires how Willie seemingly always has a cheerful attitude and answers the call whenever you need him. Willie lives in Arlington and works for the Texas Rangers baseball club.
