Truckee
There are so many outdoor activities (Donner Lake, hiking and biking trails. Downtown has shopping and restaurants. Lake Tahoe is 25 minute drive. We recommend checking out https://www.visittruckeetahoe.com Some restaurants to check out: El Toro Bravo - where we went on our first date! Bar of America, Moodys, Cottonwood.
Tahoe Mountain Club
Tahoe Mountain Club operates two golf courses, Old Greenwood (the location of the wedding venue) and Grays Crossing. Old Greenwood is a Jack Nicklaus Signature course.
Donner Memorial State Park
Donner Memorial State Park is located on Donner Lake in Truckee. The park contains the Emigrant Trail Museum, with exhibits recounting the tragic story of the ill-fated Donner Party trapped in the are during the severe winter of 1846-47.
North Lake Tahoe
Kings Beach and North Lake Tahoe are only 30 minutes from Truckee. Lots of Lake activities. Some of our favorite restaurants: Gar Woods, Spindleshanks and Old Range Steakhouse.
