How do I book a hotel room?

Most of our guest have chosen to stay at the Tivoli Carvoeiro where the festivities will be taking place. https://www.tivolihotels.com/en Please take a look at the rooms on the hotel website and email Ana Costa (our contact at the hotel) with your selection and arrival and departure dates. United States Travelers Passport Information
Answer
The State Department suggest the following things regarding passports: *Have at least six-month’s validity remaining on your passport whenever you travel abroad. *Carry your passport when traveling to another country in the Schengen area. Even if there is no border check at that time, officials may reinstate border controls without notice. What kind of weather can we expect in Carvoeiro?
Answer
The climate is very pleasant and you can expect high temperatures and plenty of warm sunshine-14 hours a day! The average high during July is 78°F and average low is 66°F. The average humidity is 68% with Northern winds and sea breezes coming in from the Atlantic help cool you down from the heat.

What currency is used in Portugal?
Answer
Portugal is part of the European Union and it’s official currency is the Euro (€). There are many ATMs in the town of Carvoeiro where you can use your bank card to retrieve Euros at the going exchange rate.

Does Portugal’s have a national airline ?
Answer
Yes- TAP Air Portugal is the only state owned carrier for Portugal. TAP Air Portugal flies direct from six US cities to Lisbon. There are regular nonstop flights from Boston (ATL), Chicago (BOS), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK and EWR-Newark), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington, D.C. (DUL) to Lisbon.

What is the easiest way to travel to the hotel from Faro airport?
Answer
One word...Uber! Faro airport is approximately 28 miles from the hotel and the ride is about 50 minutes. This trip should cost you about $55 one way. Most drivers speak English. If you are traveling in a large group, you may consider hiring a shuttle.
