Airport
Fly into OAX (Xoxocotlán International Airport). It's a teeny, tiny airport! From the airport, you can take a taxi into the city (about 15-20 minutes solo or 30-45 minutes in shared fare taxi bus). Before exiting the airport, there is a taxi booth where you can schedule your transportation. The cost is ≈400-600 Mexican Pesos (about 20/25 US dollars) to get a private taxi and the shared taxi bus is cheaper.

Please book your accommodation ASAP! November 1st the largest and most celebrated holiday México (Day of the Dead), and things are already booking up... and fast! We tried very hard to get a block of rooms for everyone in the same place, but hotels are much smaller in Oaxaca and they're already filling up for the month-long November festivities.

Casa Hidalgo is a boutique hotel in the city center. They have rooms blocked off for guests from October 19-23. If you call to make a reservation, the staff should speak both English and Spanish.
