Day Trip to Mezcal Distillery

This event is optional for those who are in town a bit early! We'll charter a bus and visit a local mezcal distillery (about 30-45 minutes outside the city center).

We're going to reserve a roof patio somewhere for anyone who's in town to come hang and grab a drink.

Ceremony

But first... the sap. Join us in the patio at Hotel Azul for our ceremony. We'll all leave together from here to walk to the venue.
La Calenda

Let's get this fiesta started! There is a Oaxacan wedding tradition called "La Calenda," which is essentially a parade made of the wedding guests. There's music, dancing, and drinking in the streets! Anyone is welcome to join (wedding invitees or locals!). We'll dance and drink our way through the streets to the wedding venue.
Reception

Attire: Formal
After we arrive at the venue, we'll have a cocktail hour with some snacks. After that, we'll sit down for a traditional Oaxacan meal and then we'll dance and drink the night away! Feel free to change into comfy shoes! We have to exit the venue at 1:00 AM, but for the fiesta people, we can keep it going elsewhere!
