It was October 2020, in Chicago, during the pandemic. Masks were the norm, so it wasn't exactly the rom-com meet-cute one might expect. However, Morgan was on her way to meet Tim for their first date. They met at the corner of Surf and Broadway in Lakeview, and even with masks on, she sensed something different about him. They walked to Wilde Bar and Restaurant, a perfectly Irish spot for their first date. Over Guinness and cheese curds, their conversation flowed effortlessly; neither wanted the night to end. That first date was magical. Chicago, the city that brought them together, became their home. They now live in Lincoln Park, filling their weekends with exploring the neighborhood, enjoying happy hours at Old Pueblo for their amazing margaritas, and simply cherishing time together. Running the lakefront is a shared passion, sometimes side-by-side, sometimes pushing each other from a distance. Morgan does, however, gloat about finishing her marathon faster than Tim! Cooking is another shared love. They enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, especially making homemade pizzas. Hosting friends is their love language, and bringing their worlds together has been one of the best parts of their relationship. Then there's college football. Saturdays in the fall are a battleground! Morgan's an Iowa grad, and Tim's a Notre Dame guy. It's a fun rivalry, and it's actually why they're having a spring wedding—to avoid any game-day conflicts! Travel is definitely their favorite thing to do together. They've had incredible adventures, from Hawaii to Portugal, Banff to Puerto Rico. Each trip brings them closer and leaves them craving the next one. Four years later, Tim took her back to where it all began: the corner of Surf and Broadway. They were walking to "lunch with friends" on a snowy January day when he got down on one knee at the exact spot where they first met. Of course, she said yes! Afterward, they went back to Wilde, where their families were waiting to surprise them. It was perfect. Their story started on a street corner in Chicago, and they are excited to see where it takes them next. They can't wait to celebrate their forever with everyone they love.
