Children 10 years and older are allowed when accompanied by an adult. Per their website: "We respectfully require overnight guests be ages 10+. A lack of modern sound-proofing, absence of TVs, and priceless antiques make lodging with us most appropriate for older youth and adults."
Please be aware that all guest rooms are accessed by 1 or 2 flights of stairs. We do not currently have an elevator, a complex engineering challenge for a historic landmark.
Rooms are refreshingly tech-free (no phones, TVs), which extends to microwaves and fridges. We have great Wi-fi, however, and may allow use of a common fridge and microwave on request.
What you do in your room is up to you but in common areas please purchase drinks from the Balch Dining Room.
A few of the rooms have a private bath...most share a bath at the end of the hall.
Yes! We have reserved the entire hotel for Friday night October 3rd so that the rooms will be available for our guests only. No other guests can book this date. The following night we have not reserved but encourage you to book a 2nd night so we can continue to enjoy the weekend together.
