Both the Friday and Saturday events will all be outside (not covered). The Friday night Welcome Party will be poolside at the Grand Pavillion which is the pool and cabana right near the beach directly behind the Boardwalk Inn. The ceremony and reception is on the North Lawn next to the Boardwalk Inn which is an outdoor venue (not covered). Let's hope for ideal weather!
Ideally arrive at the North Lawn by 5pm, be seated by 5:15pm
Early November in South Carolina should be 70s and sunny, cooler at nights and maybe a bit warmer during the day. Like all beach areas, storms may pass through but hopefully we get lucky!
Good news, it should be one of the easiest, laid back weddings you have ever attended. Once you arrive in Charleston, the Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms is roughly 30 minutes away. Once you get to WIld Dunes, you likely won't need to leave unless you want to go explore Charleston. Beach, golf, biking, are all accessible from the Boardwalk Inn. The best part is the Welcome Party on Friday and the Saturday ceremony / reception are both right next to the Boardwalk Inn. If you are staying at the Boardwalk Inn or the Sweetgrass Inn, all events on Friday and Saturday are a <5 minute walk. On Saturday, feel free to hit the beach, golf, watch college football, explore Charleston, relax, or do whatever you want. Just leave time to get cleaned up and be ready to walk down the ceremony around 5pm!
Goods news, the wedding venue is adjacent to the Boardwalk Inn. If you are staying at the Boardwalk or the Sweetgrass hotels, you can leave your car there and walk over to all of the events. If you aren't staying at one of the hotels, there is parking across the street from the Boardwalk Inn.
Yes, both nights. Friday will be beer and wine and Saturday will be premium liquor, beer, and wine. Just tip your bartenders y'all...
The reception ends around 10pm, no formal afterparty but we will see where the night takes us. Feel free to keep it going at any of the bars open at the Boardwalk or Sweetgrass Inn hotels or anywhere else in Isle of Palms / Charleston!
