Question

Where can I get Indian Clothes for the wedding?

Answer

IN-PERSON For those in LA, check out Artesia! We recommend Loveleen Sari Palace, though there are also several other nearby stores. Bay Area friends, check out Kash Fabrics in Hayward. Chicago folx, Devon will solve all your problems. If you want to shop in India, we recommend Lajpat Nagar, South Extension or GK1 (shopping areas in New Delhi). ONLINE If you'd like a larger selection to browse from the comfort of your home, here are some amazing websites! Once you've decided on your dream lehenga, feel free to get it delivered to Malavika's house for an easy pick up before the wedding. Any last minute tailoring adjustments can be made in Delhi a few days before the wedding. Question

What is the "leheriya" print that I need to purchase for the Mehendi event?

Answer

Leheriya designs are inspired by natural patterns made by the wind blowing across the desert sands of Rajasthan. These textile fragments, in the dotted tie & dye and diagonally striped Leheriya, date back to the 17th century. Question

How cold/hot will it be?

Answer

Our wedding is in the desert! Looking at highs and lows from March 2021, expect it to get up to 34C/93F in the daytime and down to 20C/68F in the evening. Keep this in mind as you pack and purchase your clothing.

Question

What will Tim & Malavika be up to before and after the wedding?

Answer

The bride and groom will be spending two weeks in India, the first of which will be in Delhi finalizing the preparations for the wedding. We’d love to hang out with those that will be around and show you Malavika's hometown. After the wedding, we'll be recovering in Delhi for a few days before heading back!

Question

Can we take a different shuttle from the one that we arrived in?

Answer

Absolutely! If you would like to do some sightseeing before/after the wedding, it might make sense to arrive from Delhi and leave to Jaipur, or vice versa. We sent out a transportation survey on Feb 9, 2022 to confirm numbers - let us know if you didn't receive it!

Question

Can I bring my kids with me?

Answer

Kids of all ages are more than welcome to join!

Question

Do I need to book my own accommodation for the wedding?

Answer

The Chughs and Blacks will provide accommodation at Castle Mandawa for all guests for three nights - March 21, 22 and 23, so all you need to do is show up! If you are traveling in India before or after the wedding, please book your own additional accommodation :)

Question

Answer

We are here to help! Please reach out directly to Ranjan Majumdar - he is like family to us. Answer

YES! 1. Tear the card into small pieces (yes, really!) 2. Wet the paper and put it in manure-rich soil. 3. Give it water, sunshine and love! 4. Let it grow!
