Getting to the church and reception venue

Saint Joseph the Worker is about a 15 minute walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART station. If taking public transit, we recommend BART. The reception at Boundary Oak Golf Course is in Walnut Creek, which is about a 40 minute drive (depending on traffic) from Saint Joseph the Worker. If not renting a car, we recommend taking BART from the Downtown Berkeley station to the Walnut Creek Station (transfer at MacArthur to the yellow line towards Antioch). From the Walnut Creek station, Uber or Lyft to Boundary Oak Golf Course (5 mile trip). See below for a summary of the Bay Area's Airports and Rapid Transit system.

Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK)

This is the airport closest to all the wedding festivities. OAK is a major hub for Southwest Airlines. Easy access to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) from the airport.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

The largest airport in the Bay Area. SFO is a major hub for United Airlines. Easy access to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) from the airport.

San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC)

San Jose's airport. No direct connection to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). If flying into SJC, we recommend a car rental or rideshare for transportation from the airport.

Train

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)

BART is the primary form of public transit in the Bay Area. Last trains leave stations around midnight. The earliest trains are around 5am. If planning to use BART from SFO or OAK, keep in mind that the trains don't run all night. Berkeley is on the red line (Richmond-Millbrae). Walnut Creek is on the yellow line (Antioch-SFO Int'l Airport)

Travel Note

Hotels

For the Out-of-Towners, we recommend booking a hotel either near the church or the reception venue. Both Berkeley and Walnut Creek have a wide variety of options. If using BART, your best bets are hotels near either the Downtown Berkeley BART station or the Walnut Creek BART station.
