Wedding Party

Emily Gray

Maid of Honor

Emily is Allison’s super cool older sister. She has known Allison since birth, and thinks it’s weird that people in Chicago don’t call her “Allie.” She and Allie grew up together in Jacksonville Florida, spending their days catching lizards and endangering their lives tubing on the St. John’s river. Her greatest accomplishment is creating Allison’s favorite person (besides Alex)—her nephew Sully. Currently, Emily is a science fiction writer and a middle school language arts teacher, so be sure to bring her a drink when you see her at the wedding.

Lauren Lin

Bridesmaid

Lauren and Allison started off as rivals during senior year of high school when they both interviewed for a fancy schmancy scholarship at Loyola University Chicago. Neither of them got it and forgot they’d even met—until they ended up living down the hall freshman year. Lauren convinced Allison to study abroad in Beijing where Lauren got to see Alex and Allison FALL IN LOVE GROSS >:0 Lauren and Allison lived together post-college, got COVID three times, and continue to go on trips halfway around the world together. Lauren currently lives .3 miles away from the happy couple and sees Allison more than her own roommate.

Katie Premo

Bridesmaid

Katie is a PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania continuing her journey as a perpetual student. Katie remembers meeting Allison in crisp detail on a humid Chicago day orienting themselves to their new reality as college students, Allison claims she has no memory of this. Katie and Allison lived together for three years and survived mice, a pandemic, bed bugs, and several roommates. Katie witnessed the meeting of Alex and Allison during study abroad, it was beautiful. Lauren and Katie became closer to Alex during their “Friday Fundays” senior year, where they forced him to scam the Art Institute and eat a lot of food. Katie is looking forward to leading the crowd in Hot to Go for her 10th wedding.

Jack Grogan

Best Man

Jack met Alex in the early weeks of Alex's freshman year at Notre Dame. Alex doesn't remember meeting Jack and believes they met a year later. As usual, Jack's recollection is correct. They became friends during a semester spent studying and interning together in Washington, D.C. Jack and Alex spent many hours each day watching sports and discussing politics. Jack grew to love making fun of Alex like the younger brother he never had. A proud native of Philadelphia, Jack now lives in Phoenix with his wife Brooke and dog Carson. Although they live on opposite ends of the country, Jack and Alex have kept up the same close friendship that began in D.C. Jack can't wait to celebrate Alex and Allison and is excited to serve as best man.

Chris Kreienkamp

Groomsman

Chris was the lucky Notre Dame freshman to be randomly assigned as Alex’s first college roommate. A St. Louis native, Chris bonded with Alex over mutual love for the Midwest and playing as Reggie Miller in NBA Jam. Chris learned many life skills from Alex in the almost 3 years they lived together, including how to speak some Korean, how to peel a mango, and how to cook salmon. He was so positively influenced by Alex that he even became a Colts fan. This didn’t turn out to be as good as the salmon. Chris can’t keep far from his favorite Hoosier, often visiting Alex in Chicago to duo in karaoke and root against the Cubs. Chris most recently lived in Rome, Italy for 2 years playing water polo, but now lives in St. Louis as an engineer.

James Moremen

Groomsman

James hails from Louisville, KY, where he learned to hate all things from Indiana. He has made 2 exceptions: Notre Dame and Alex Yom. James and Alex became friends freshman year of college, when Alex repeatedly asked James to come to a party in his dorm room, which turned out to be 6 guys standing around a mini fridge. They would go on to live together the following year in St. Edward’s Hall (where they threw much better parties), a mouse-infested and collapsing house on Hill Street in South Bend, and into the real world in their first true apartment in Chicago. They now live a couple blocks from each other and enjoy playing disappointing rounds of golf on the weekends.

Sully Gray

Ring Bearer

Sully is a six-year-old rockstar first grader who first met his Aunt Allie shortly after he was born. She immediately became his favorite person ever, and he has referred to her as his "best friend" every since. His hobbies include Minecraft, building legos, and Pokemon. He's looking forward to this wedding because it's a "party for love" and he promises to take very good care of the rings. When he grows up he wants to be a ninja, and hopes to move to Chicago to be closer to his favorite person.
