Maid of Honor
I have known Erica since 2005 . We met through a mutual friend; Shanniese Rice in high school. Little ,did I known I would be meeting my soul sister and friend. Erica ,is the true definition of selflessness. She has always been there for me any time I needed her the most. Our friendship has grown over the years into motherhood and gains in our careers. Cheers to love, and cheers to you Erica.

I’ve known Randy since he was about 4, so basically all of his life, and definitely all of mine, lol. As his little brother, we’ve shared lots of memories, enjoyed plenty of good times, and has our fair share of fights over the years - can’t even begin to recall them all.

How Erica and I met is simple. 18 months and 9 days after her birth she meets me. Hello, I’m Ebonee, her little sister. Growing up with a big sister like Erica has always motivated and inspired me. I considered my sister a wonderful person who’s caring, motivating, and a excellent mother. It’s hearting warming to know she has finally met her match in love. I’m extremely happy that she is getting married.

Maaannn.... I don’t remember exactly how we met, but one of my favorite memories of Randy and I together was when we both played on a summer league basketball team. We were both a shell of ourselves athletically at this point, but I remember I went to Randy’s house to pick him up for the game. On the way to the game he told me to stop by 7-eleven, so I did. Thinking he was going to get some Gatorade, water or something like that for the game, he came back out with a loaded 1/4 big bite lol. I asked him if he was really going to eat that right before the game and his response was “I hungry” lol. From that point on I knew if Randy was in the building you are guaranteed to have a good time and eat good. Randy, congratulations on finding your soul mate. Marriage is a beautiful thing. -Rell

Hi! I met Erica through a mutual friend (who is also her Maid of honor). It was Shaniyah’s first birthday weekend and I remember meeting her after the celebration. We became such good friends in a short amount of time. Her presence is something, I didn’t realize I needed her in my life until she became a best friend to me. -Ziah Charles

I met Randy in the ninth grade in shop class. I used to look out for them when they was shooting dice. My neighborhood was next to his so we started going over there to hoop. Been cool ever since. That's my dawg (original word used edited for explicit content).

I met Erica while working at VCU in The Bone Marrow Transplant Department in 2015. The lab order printer was located at my desk so Erica always had to come to pick her lab orders from me. My other co-workers and I were always having some crazy conversation whenever Erica would stop by. Then one day, we were talking about traveling and Erica stayed and talked for a while. After our conversation, we decided to go to happy hour together and the rest was history. Erica and I are soul twins, we flow so well together and always have the same ideas. I am so proud and honored that she chose me to be part of her big day! -Keila Bolden

Not quite sure how Randy and I met, but one of the first recollections was when we both attended ECPI. We knew of each other prior to, but got pretty cool at that time. We'd go on break and every single day I'd bum a cigarette off of him ( he probably wondered why I never had my own). We'd talk about music, jerseys, hats and other things. He'd always come to school with the fresh jersey and the fitted(hat) to match. I'd try to get him to use his store discount to get me a jersey or 2 for the low, but it never happened lol. We've been cool ever since but got closer as the years went on.

I remember the day I met Erica like it was yesterday. It was the day that Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” came out (Saturday, April 23rd, 2016), and we were both at a kickback. When I came in, I sat near her and Randy, and I remember her being so friendly, so it made me feel a lot better about being there because I didn’t know anyone. Once we started talking we couldn’t stop. We exchanged numbers and ended up meeting for lunch that week since we both worked on the medical campus at VCU at the time. That weekend, I went with her, Randy, and Ziah to a bar crawl, and Erica and I have been best friends since. 😊 -Morgan Martin

When I first met Randy it was in middle and I wanted to fight him. I am from Southside and he looked wack. We became friends in high school when he got the minivan, we were 12 deep (pause). We would hit up clubs like The Coopermine, Alzenas, and the Civic Center. The end.

Erica and I are first cousins so we have shared much laughter, tears and memories together. I was the younger cousin of the group but I had an old soul and I thought knew everything. We always danced and sang together and even created our own plays. Growing up, Erica was one of my favorite cousins. Although I was younger, she never excluded me from things. With Erica, I read my first adult book, tasted alcohol, even attended my first college party at 14 when Erica attended VSU. Erica has been a perfect role model to me throughout the years. Her hard work, dedication and being a great mom has inspired and motivated me to pursue a nursing degree as well. Thank you Erica for always being there for me and giving me the opportunity to experience your special day with you, I love you forever.

Erica and I met 11 years ago in nursing school at VSU. I remember it like it was yesterday, Erica and I were assigned to the same patient in the nursing home for clinicals. The patient soiled themselves and the room was engulfed in one of the most disturbing odors I had ever smelled. I thought to myself there was no way I could do this! Fortunately for me I was paired with bubbly and optimistic Erica who supported me through the entire occurrence. That bonding experience was the start of a great and everlasting friendship filled with laughs, love, fun and R&B soul music. Although Erica and I live in different states that bond is still unbreakable.

I first met Randy in middle school at Fall Creek Middle. We were both shy and reserved but we ended playing on the soccer team together. After a verify move from Richmond I came back to reconnect with Randy at Meadowbrook High School. Randy switched high schools mid way through, but we kept in touch and live close to one another. In college and after college Randy became family. Some of my most memorable moments in life were with Randy and our group of friends. We kept our circle tight but Randy was always there.

Matron of Honor
The year was 2003, our freshman year of high school and the year I met one of my best friends! Through high school we worked jobs together, ran track together and got in and out of trouble. Even though we went to separate colleges and still currently live in separate states, the moment we are together it is like we have never been apart! -Shanniese Rice
