We're Getting Married!

Fate and love have no schedule nor concept of time but at times their pathways choose to intersect. That was the case on the evening of May 30, 2015. A young debonair bachelor and a beautiful black queen began a new chapter of both of their lives. The Saturday began as normal for both Erica and Randy. Erica working a 12-hour shift caring for others in the hospital and Randy sleeping in and playing video games and watching movies. Both awaiting the evening hours to see what the city had to offer but unknowing of what the universe had in store for them. Armed with a fully charged iPhone and suited in a grey t-shirt and black jeans, Randy called longtime friend and video game rival Omega and suggested they check out the bar at Uptown Alley that night. They both agreed and the Saturday night play was set into motion. Erica had planned to work a 16-hour shift that day when she received a phone call from her college friend Latesse. Latesse wanted to go out on the town. So, Erica decided to leave work short of her extra shift to partake in an evening out with her friend. She got home put on her long maxi dress, applied a light layer of makeup, and headed over to uptown Alley because they heard about the live band. Erica and Latesse arrived and the place was quite packed for a bowling alley on a Friday night. They were able to find 2 seats at the bar. The server came over and they ordered 2 Margaritas. While enjoying their drinks, Erica had spotted this good looking tipsy man from across the room staring at her. She paid him no mind and continued to converse with her college friend. She then glanced up and saw the young gentleman walking towards her. She whispered to her friend, “omg this guy is about to walk over here.”

The man with the Free Bandz t-shirt on said, “Hello my name Randy I would offer you both a drink but you already have one.” Erica replied, “you can pick up the tab.” Randy agreed and proceeded to converse with Erica. He started to sense good vibes from this young lady. Randy’s friend Omega then came over. He had attended Virginia State University which is the same university that Erica and LaTeese had attended. Uptown alley was closing soon, and Randy had invited the ladies to get food at Waffle House. Erica replied I hate the waffle house let’s go to IHOP and they all agreed. Randy and Omega walked the girls to their car. Randy was so mesmerized by Erica‘s beauty, that he damaged his car by running over a cement curb in front of his parking space costing him over $1000 to repair the manifold; he should have known then that Erica would be quite expensive. Everyone arrived at IHOP and Erica and Randy were able to connect on a more intimate level. This is when the first official picture was taken and the beginning of many fun eventful nights together as a couple begins to unfold.
