What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

If using provided transportation, please be prepared to leave the hotel by 1:00 PM. If transporting yourself, please arrive at St. Dominic's Chapel with ample time, but no later than 1:45 PM. The mass will begin promptly at 2:00 PM.

What time should I arrive for the reception?

Answer

If using provided transportation, please be prepared to leave the hotel by 4:00 PM. If transporting yourself, guests will be allowed on property starting at 4:30 PM. Cocktail hour will begin promptly at 5:00 PM.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

YES! Transportation times can be found on the “Schedule” tab. Transportation after the ceremony will return to the Aloft before departing for the reception shortly afterward. After the reception, transportation will also be provided back to the Aloft and to the after party. There will be one scheduled departure at the conclusion of after party back to the Aloft. If this does not work for you, please use Uber/Lyft to get home safely.

Is parking available?

If choosing to forego provided transportation, there is plenty of parking to be found at both St Dominic Chapel and Mount Hope Farm. Please park in the lot directly behind the chapel at St Dom's. Once at Mt Hope, please follow the signs down the 1 mile path to park next to the reception. There is no parking available at the after party.

What is the attire?

Answer

Summer formal! Ladies, think floor-length gowns or sophisticated cocktail dresses. Gentlemen, think lightweight suits paired with tie.

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

Answer

The ceremony is located inside. The reception is outdoors by the water in a tent. Temperatures may vary throughout the night. Please plan accordingly.

Can I bring my kids?

Children are more than welcome at the ceremony. However, we’ve decided to make our reception an adults-only celebration. We truly appreciate you making arrangements to celebrate with us!

To manage our guest list, we kindly ask that you only bring a guest if they are mentioned on your invitation.

When should I book my travel and accommodations by?

Answer

We can’t emphasize this enough - summer is a busy time in Rhode Island! The FIFA World Cup will also be in town the same weekend, so hotel availability is expected to be limited. Please book early so you have the most options and flexibility!
