Best Man
Davey (Gravy) Stiling has no off switch, and is full speed ahead at all times in all things, though he seems to be laid back when you meet him (don't let him trick you). Not known for taking breaks or laying low, Dave's drive and passion to be the best at what he does has provided him with 3 national championships from UCLA in water polo, and membership to an elite groups of sea mammals, the Seals. His training for these endeavors started as a young child, where Josh used to habitually use him as the trial dummy in many backyard and wrestling experiments. Dave often credits these formative and foundational experiences to others, saying that without them, "I most certainly wouldn't have won all those championships." Dave's achievements and commitment to his beautiful and expanding family have become sources of inspiration for Josh, who is beyond proud of what his brother has been able to accomplish. Dave is simply, The Man.
Maid of Honor
Val and Rocki met in kindergarten. Rocki was in morning classes while Val was in the afternoon, and the teacher were often mix up their names. One day, their recesses overlapped and they met on the playground through the shared realization that this was the person their teacher confuses them with. They quickly became best friends and proceeded to go to school together through elementary, junior high, high school, and even college - where they were roommates. Rocki is Val's maid of honor this year as well, and she had even introduced Val to her future husband - the two live happily ever after in Utah with their puppy, Amber. Fun Fact: Val has been to two world cups - Brazil & New Zealand

Otherwise known as the "quiet, softspoken one" in the friend group, Dane and Josh formed their bond early in their college careers, bonding over basketball on their recruiting trip at UCSD. Dane's tenacity and hard work as an athlete translated well into every other endeavor he chose to pursue, and set an unrealistic academic benchmark that Luke, Cam, and Josh simply couldn't keep up with. These days, Dane enjoys relaxing short work days at Starlink and growing is Swarovski collection which his wife Courtney has adamantly declared a problem, but has not dissuaded Dane from sneaking Amazon packages through the back door. He's a man of refined taste, enjoying fine wine, a good debate over a niche subject, and making sure his buddies never fall asleep as long as he himself is still awake. He's the kind of guy that speaks the world of you behind your back, yet keeps it viciously honest and real to your face. And to be honest, that's about the best type of friendship one can have.

Britt was a the kayak shop manager at Everyday California, which is where Rocki picked up a part time job at the beginning of her time in San Diego. Britt was known around the shop for her tough Boston vibe (and for being part of a pilot reality TV show about the company - you should ask her about it). Rocki was even advised to "not be afraid of Britt - she's super cool" from another tour guide when she first started the job. Britt randomly invited Rocki on a camping trip with another friend, and that was the beginning of their friendship. She also has been a professional reference for every job Rocki has ever applied too. Britt now lives with her husband, Jacob, and beautiful twin baby girls in Colorado, where they get to live out their passion for nature and hiking. Fun Fact: Britt has never been able to do a somersault despite all the attempts by friends to teach her.

Typically found fishing or thinking about fishing, Syka (or Wolf as his friends fondly call him) enjoys the simple pleasures in life. He once seriously mentioned that if he could get a haircut every two weeks, that’s when he knows he'll have made it. Well buddy, I think we did it. A must-have at any social or private gathering, Syka brings a laugh heard across the room and is sure to brighten your day no matter where he is. This buffed out Joaquin Phoenix lookalike might seem muscle bound to the naked eye, but underneath lies a quick twitch, well-oiled machine designed to dance, dance, dance. Syka's larger than life goofy personality comes complimentary with the rest of his surprisingly large menu of assets, he's also an incredible friend that keeps it real. Without his sincere friendship and loving attitude, Josh certainly would not be the man he is today.

Sam is a professional track athlete for Canada and moved to San Diego after graduating from Oregon. She arrived in San Diego only a few weeks before Rocki - both coming to be coached by the infamous Joaquim Cruz at the Olympic Training Center. In 2016, Sam didn't have a car and the US wouldn't let her work on an athlete visa, so she stayed with Rocki. Given they shared a room, car, and went to the same place for training - they ended up spending almost every minute together for half a year. Eventually, they adopted each other's (bad?) habits of ordering postmates coffee from bed, rewatching episodes of shows over an over again to find easter eggs, and running to 7/11 nearly every night for candy. Fun Fact: Sam and her husband Mac have a pet pig named Marty. Marty also won Mr. August for the SD Humane Society Calendar.

The "Vibe Master." Benny Less is in the business of offering a good time, whether it’s showing you around San Francisco, booming house music in his techno dungeon, or taking an impromptu and slightly unhinged 2019 July 4th weekend trip in Lake Tahoe. A Boston native, he by nature mistrusted Josh, calling him "dreamy" sarcastically as a way to show him defiance to his good looks and solidarity with his brother, also named Josh. His trust was eventually won over by Dreamy's natural charisma and infectious energy, spending many weekends in San Francisco hanging out, hitting the clerbs, and exploring the bay area. While Benny still suffers seasonal depression from Dreamy leaving the bay area, the two don't skip a beat whenever they hang out. Cheers to you Benny.

Rocki and Taylor met shortly after Taylor's birth as their parents were part of a tight-knot friend group in a cul-de-sac of condos in Camarillo condos. Taylor's family lives a very Jimmy Buffet-style vibe, so Taylor and Rocki spent their friendship hanging by the pool, attending their parent's Margaritaville parties, going on Hawaii vacations together. There was one New Year's when they were in junior high and Taylor taught all the parents how to do the Solja Boy dance at their toga-themed party. Taylor is always the dance instigator, often forcing Rocki out of her shell at line dancing bars and warped tours. Fun fact: Taylor resisted trying bacon her entire childhood, caved at 18 years old, and dhas been obsessed since.

"Mitchelli," in Italian (and on Instagram), Mitch paved the way out of the Oregon forest into the lush freeways of California for Josh and Dave. Mitch is a laid back, earthy dude who is arguably the most talented athlete you'll ever meet. He's frustratingly good at everything he does, and he hates losing (an ideal person to play monopoly with). Josh and Mitch travelled a parallel water polo path for many years, the like of which hasn't been repeated in the last 15 years to the best of their knowledge. For two Oregon guys, they did alright. Without the excellent example Mitch set, Josh likely would not have gotten out of the Beav, and struggled to make ends meet while working at Wendy's. It's not often that you have a childhood friend share the same triumphs and challenges as you, and that's pretty cool. And, in Mitch's classical fashion of paving the way, he's agreed to leading off the 6am first leg of the trans-Tahoe relay on the 3rd day of Josh's bachelor party. Thanks Mitch!

Brittany goes by her first name "Bridges" and is a San Diego transplant from a small town in CT. Rocki was new to San Diego and picked up a part time job as a kayak tour guide, and one of the other guides invited her to a group bar hopping night, then flaked at the last minute. Rocki decided to stay and make friends with a group of people she didn't know - one of which was Bridges. Bridges had previously been a tour guide at the same shop, and took Rocki under her wing for her first PB (pacific beach) experience. It was a fun one. Rocki crashed on Bridges' couch that night and the rest is history. Bridges has always been an avid adventurer and spent most of 2023 traveling throughout South East Asia, Central America, and Europe SOLO. Fun Fact: She's been to 30 countries!

Josh is Rocki's little brother, which does get confusing (suggestions for nicknames to differentiate him from the groom are welcome). Josh lives in Newbury Park and works as a vet tech - fulfilling his passion for taking care of animals. He acts as Rocki's on-call veterinary service and dog whisperer. Josh has graciously put up with years of all-day track meets, panicked calls about Cash, and embarrassing nicknames from his older sister. As Cash's god-father, they will be wearing matching suits for the ceremony.
Ring Bearer
Officiant
Cam is the ultimate hype man. You can usually see him wearing the latest chic fashion with his perfectly styled hair while elaborating on his most recent business idea. An entrepreneur at heart, Cam's early forays into business were formative yet inspiring. In the summer of 2011, Cam spent hours outside the UTC mall men's bathroom dressed as a doorman with mints and gum alongside his buddy Vince. Cam is a guy who makes you feel like the most important person in the room, and is known for remembering the small details about your life and loves to chat even though he's likely going to be late for the next thing (a common source of stress for his friends). He's a one of the coolest dudes you'll ever meet, and his family and his friendship have meant a lot to Josh over the years. He's a man you can rely upon under pressure, and always follows through on what he says. It's an honor to have him officiate the Stiling wedding, and even if he forgets the ceremony script at home (like the outside land tickets in 2018), he's a resourceful guy that always figures it out.
