[ our people ]

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Uyen

Matron of Honor

Uyen came over as a kid from Vietnam not knowing any English but man was I so excited to meet her. We spent a lot of my childhood together singing Shania Twain and NSYNC, having sleepovers on the floor, and learned how to be ourselves together. That may be why people (even my brother) mistake us as "twins" sometimes, but we still don't get it. She is my best friend who always makes me laugh but can also calm me down on a bad day. I can turn to her for everything (but especially Vietnamese translations and whatever random thing is on my mind). She has been right next to me through all of my ups and downs with me, so it's fitting she'll be standing next to me for one of the best days of my life!

Nada

Maid of Honor

Our origin story is a little weird (you'll have to ask one of us about it later), but what matters is that we've been friends since 2003 which means she is 1000% certified RiDe oR diE 4 lyfeee Additional evidence: - We once made a pact where the consequences were not texting for a day. Needless to say we made sure that didn't happen, otherwise our lives would be devastated - We have each other's bad photos - like, the scary originals that must never be shared and can only be trusted with an elite few - Our lives are weirdly parallel, even though we've never even lived in the same state - I am entrusted with Keiko - I will always remain blue for her - She will always be there for me, from emergency anxiety phone calls to asking me for photo evidence that I've gotten myself up and dressed

Sara

Bridesmaid

I got lucky becoming friends with the baddest B at the gym, but once it started we never looked back. Our friendship is defined by food, wine, and glute work and it keeps us THRIVING. We literally make food maps when we're together and always throw in a killer workout because BALANCE. She is fiercely loyal, protective, loves me for being really silly and asian at times, and makes me the perfect eggs. Even though we only knew each other for a year before she moved away, we are closer than ever and always make it a point to see each other to share the things we enjoy - croissants, pizza, cursing, a nice red, and girl time <3

Gerrod

Bridesman

Oh gosh, Gerrod and I have so many shared memories during one of the most important times in our lives - college. While my foray into vet school only lasted a year at OSU, I got a best friend out of living in the AG dorms my freshman year. There are so many hours of karaokeing our favorite parts on a road trip, discussing fish tanks and landscaping, getting ourselves in and out of sticky situations, and I'm pretty sure he taught me how to binge watch a show before it was a thing. While Gerrod is definitely a fun time (he needs to copyright GBD), he's always been a friend I can depend on. He would do anything he possibly could do to help me and is always willing to offer an honest opinion. Conveniently I picked his favorite color for the wedding - can't wait to see him in sage!

Blake

Best Man

Favorite thing: Blake is one of the nicest guys you will meet. We went to the same small high school but never met until college years. He is my clone but brunette. Funny thing: He's basically a teddy bear that loves beer

Peter

Groomsman

Favorite thing: Ridiculous willingness to be helpful to people he cares about Funny thing: I talk to him more online than in person since we play the same video game (League)

Kevin

Groomsman

Favorite thing: he's a selfless guy, always ready and willing to be there for me whether it's grabbing a tool I need or a specific conversation Funny thing: that he is an introvert like me that becomes an extrovert with beer like me

Matt

Groomsman

Favorite thing: if something needs to get done he will make sure it happens. He's also that friend that is always the first to check in with me Funny thing: he's loyal (and risky) enough to bet on my Oklahoma State Cowboys

Randy Place

Officiant

Randy and his wife Sandy are some of our nearest and dearest friends - they are people we can count on not only for a fun time, but for anything we may need (like driving down to Texas for a surprise proposal with 48 hours notice). We couldn't think of anyone better to marry us - Randy is thoughtful, intentional, loves us like his own kids, and knows our relationship well. We can't wait for him to tell us to say "I do"!

Kiefer

Usher

Kiefer and Mat have been longtime friends. They've always shared the same hobbies and interests, like gaming and metal music. They've known each other since they were little kids, went to the same high school, were roommates in college, and now he will be the usher at our wedding!

Kennedy Kelsey

Flower Girl

baby K is particularly special to Theresa since she's the first baby she was forced to hold in a LONG while. Theresa spent a lot of time working out with Kennedy's mom, Karlye, through her pregnancy and got to love on her while in her mom's belly and out of it before she moved to Dallas. She is the sweetest, happiest, and cutest little girl!

Olivia Pare

Flower Girl

Olivia is Theresa and Mat's next door neighbor - when they first met she was absolutely smitten with Mat, but has really come to enjoy playing "clean up" with Theresa. They love seeing her grow up and can't wait to bribe her to do chores or hang out with her when she's being an angsty teen. But for now, she will get to be a sweet, precious flower girl at their wedding!
