The Wedding Website of Mary-Elizabeth Foote and Aaron Sedgwick
Meet the incredible people who mean the world to us and will be standing by our side on our big day! This page is dedicated to our family and friends who have supported, laughed, and celebrated with us through it all—we couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without them.

Collin Sedgwick

Best Man

Aaron’s best man is his older brother, Collin—his lifelong sidekick, built-in best friend, and go-to hunting buddy. They grew up like two peas in a pod, always finding adventure together and bullying each other along the way. Even though Collin now lives in Indiana, he’s still Aaron’s first phone call for life advice and remains his best friend. If you didn’t really know Aaron, you might think he doesn’t talk much—but it wasn’t until Mary saw Aaron and Collin together that she realized just how much he opens up with his brother. Their conversations flow just as freely as those between Mary and Aaron, and the way they interact mirrors the easy, comfortable bond Mary shares with Aaron—full of understanding, humor, and genuine connection.

Suzanne Foote

Maid of Honor

Mary’s maid of honor is her sister, Suzanne Foote. Being just 19 months apart, they grew up side by side—sharing everything from childhood memories to inside jokes. They did nearly everything together or in overlapping years—showing cows at the fair, becoming dairy princesses, and supporting each other through every chapter. As they got older, their bond only deepened, and Suzanne quickly became the first person Mary calls to vent, celebrate, or just talk about life. Though she may be the younger sister, Suzanne’s ability to stay calm and rational—even in the most irrational situations—is something Mary has always admired and looked up to. She’s not just a sister, but a lifelong best friend.

Jean Gallagher Curley

Officiant

Nearly two years ago, Mary had the honor of standing alongside her cousin Jean and husband Chris as their wedding officiant. So when it came time for Mary and Aaron to choose someone to lead their own ceremony, asking Jean was an easy decision. Growing up, Mary always looked up to Jean as a role model—admiring her confidence, her ability to speak her mind, and the way she always made people feel included. Over the years, their bond only grew stronger, evolving into a friendship built on trust and support. From breakups to late nights at the bar and everything in between, Jean has been a constant in Mary’s life.

Magdalene Gerst

Bridesmaid

Magdalene and Mary first met in 10th grade through Junior Dairy Leaders and they quickly became best friends. Over the months, years, and now decades since, they’ve driven across the state countless times to spend time together. They’re always quick to text or call each other when they need advice, a helping hand, or even just someone to say, “let’s get in the car and escape for a bit.” While what their friendship looks like has evolved over the years—now including Magdalene’s kids in tow or Colby making the trip by himself to spend the week with Uncle Aaron and Aunt Mary—their bond has only grown stronger with time.

Meaghan Emery

Bridesmaid

Meaghan—sometimes known as Tina during her college years—was undoubtedly Mary’s biggest support system and best friend while at Penn State. Though Mary admits those were some of the hardest years of her life, Meaghan was always there to listen, offer advice, or remind her when it was time to escape to Treehouse, Pickles Tap Room, or a Penn State football game to avoid responsibilities. From spontaneous 9 a.m. kayaking trips after 3 a.m. nights out to heart-to-hearts that lasted until sunrise, their friendship was filled with laughter, support, and a whole lot of memories. Mary truly believes Meaghan is the kind of person every girl needs in her life—the kind who shows up, no matter what.

Amanda Hunt

Bridesmaid

In 2014, while at Penn State, Mary met Amanda—her new little in Sigma Alpha who was afraid of cows, loved the color pink, and had probably never even set foot on a farm. Despite their differences, they quickly became best friends, supporting each other through college, navigating relationships, and everything else that makes life at 19 to 21 years old so challenging. Amanda quickly became more than just a sorority sister—she was someone who kept Mary grounded and became like a real sister. Now, despite being separated by state lines and hundreds of miles, they remain each other’s biggest cheerleaders—always there to support, encourage, and celebrate every milestone from afar.

Ona Terrell

Junior Bridesmaid

From the little girl with glasses to the outstanding dancer and kind young woman, Aaron has loved watching his niece Ona grow into the confident, fun, and thoughtful person she is today. Her creativity and vibrant spirit have always shone through, bringing joy to everyone around her. When Mary came into the picture, Ona was quick to welcome her. She's offered her honest (and often hilarious) advice on what’s cool and what’s not, making sure Mary and Aaron’s big day passes the vibe check. Her humor, energy, and genuine excitement have made her an unforgettable part of this journey.

Adaline Sedgwick

Flower Girl

Adaline may have been a little unsure of Uncle Aaron at first—more scared than smitten—but over the years, their bond has grown into something truly special. Today, they share a close connection that’s as sweet as it is fun, and watching them together is nothing short of heartwarming. Adaline is full of sugar and spice—equal parts sweet and sassy—with a sparkle in her eye and a strong opinion on just about everything. Whether she’s cracking jokes, sharing her big ideas, or just hanging out with Aaron and Mary, she brings joy, energy, and plenty of personality wherever she goes.

Abilene Gerst

Flower Girl

Magdalene's daughter Abilene has been a part of Mary’s life since the day she was born, growing into a sweet, sensitive, and kind-hearted young girl. She often texts Mary when she misses her and loves sending random pictures just to stay connected. She really loved going dress shopping and even had to try on a couple dresses herself, making the experience all the more special. Her gentle spirit and thoughtful nature make her a bright light in their lives, always ready with a smile or a kind word. It’s clear to everyone who knows her that Abilene’s warmth and compassion leave a lasting impression on all she meets.

Colby Gerst

Ring Bearer

Mary’s godson Colby has been attached at her hip since the day he was born. Over the years, he’s become a regular part of Aunt Mary and Uncle Aaron’s lives—coming to spend vacations filled with mozzarella sticks, trips to Texas Roadhouse, and endless hours building Legos with Uncle Aaron. When Colby first met Aaron, everyone expected it might take some time for him to warm up, but instead, he instantly connected with him, forming a bond that’s been heartwarming to watch ever since. Colby was even there when Mary picked out her wedding dress—and was the very first to excitedly tell Uncle Aaron all about it.
