Flight

Seattle-Tacoma (SeaTac) International Airport

SeaTac is the closest and most convenient international airport to Tacoma. It is conveniently located half way between Seattle and Tacoma, about a 35 minute drive to either downtown area. There are rental car agencies on site and Uber/Lyft are readily available in this area for transportation. When flying home, use the SeaTac SPOTsaver to save yourself a place in the security line for shorter wait times as SeaTac is a very busy airport with long security line wait times. Travel Note

AirBnB Information

Recommended areas in Tacoma for AirBnB rentals: North End (north of Division and 6th Avenue) Old Town/Waterfront Stadium District/Theater District Downtown West End/University Place

Train

Tacoma Link Light Rail System

The new Tacoma Link is the above ground transit system connecting downtown Tacoma. If staying in the theater district/stadium district this is a great way to access bars, restaurants, and museums downtown. The Tacoma Link also connects you to the Seattle Sounder train at the Tacoma Dome. The Sounder runs between Tacoma and Seattle and will take you into downtown Seattle in about one hour. From the station in downtown Seattle you can access the Seattle Link that can connect you to all the major attractions in the area.
