
First wedding together! This was also the weekend that Aleksander starting introducing Theresa as his girlfriend. Without first formally asking her about it, but she didn't really mind.

We love to give each other new experiences. For instance, Aleksander had never carved a pumpkin before dating Theresa. That is almost un-American, but we love him anyway.

One of the ways we find that helps us get through the long-distance relationship is investing in the time we can share together. Such as eating at a Brazilian Steakhouse in Washington DC on a visit!

Our first Valentine's day together we spent in Hershey, PA becoming official Hershey Chocolate-Tasting Chocolatiers. That's right. We are professional chocolate tasters.

That time Aleksander graduated Law School, and Theresa got a picture of the Secret Service (for VP Biden) on the rooftop behind him.

Theresa's first Christmas gift to Aleksander was an hour-long helicopter flying lesson. She is not sure why she had to be so ambitious from the beginning. She has been trying to top this since.

Another key to long-distance relationships: frequent communication and laughter! Technology has supplied the one, and we can provide the other.

Reggie took a while to accept Aleksander into his life, but after the first month or two he decided that his dad is his favorite couch.

As a couple Theresa and Aleksander share a love of adventure and travel! After he passed the bar and she graduated vet school they headed to Europe! Germany, 2017

Their first winter together Theresa would visit Aleksander on weekends in Washington DC. One of their favorite places is Mount Vernon (check out the restaurant! It is amazing!).

Theresa loves to photograph Aleksander and Reggie's unique relationship. Usually because Reggie makes them very awkward, and Theresa loves to laugh at them.

It took over a year, but in August 2016 Theresa finally got Aleksander to visit MI (where he was convinced of how awesome it is). Here they are at Good Harbor Beach at Sunset!

I could never be with someone who didn't love animals. It just so happens that all of our animals like Aleksander best.

After two years Aleksander finally got to experience being a horse-show boyfriend! He took care of Theresa and even found Jack's lost bell boot!

Seriously, Aleksander and Reggie should have their own Instagram page. They would be famous.

No place is free from an adventure! If you haven't explored historic Philadelphia we recommend it! The Liberty Bell exhibition is especially worth the visit.

It doesn't matter where they go, Theresa will find a park that they have to visit. And insist that they play on the playground.

We don't like to take life very seriously most days.

June 8, 2018--the day we said "I do!" at the Fayetteville, NC Rose Garden. We were sad that more of our friends and family could not attend our civil ceremony, but we had to seize the day!

While visiting Mackinaw Island in July 2018 we snapped this photo, and joked that we bought a house. For those of you who didn't get it, we did not. This house is worth millions. Maybe one day!

Because Theresa was leaving for Kuwait before their three year dating anniversary, Aleksander and Theresa had an early anniversary in July 2018 at Black Star Inn in Suttons Bay, MI.
