It all began on December 26, 2019, when we matched on Hinge. Emily’s friend took the first step and messaged Ryan. This sparked a month-long exchange of texts during Ryan’s holiday stay in Texas, leading up to our first in-person meeting at The Refinery in Denver. With friends in town, Emily made the evening unforgettable with buzz button shots, and we all had a blast together. Our early dates were just as memorable, including a night at Zhu at Red Rocks Winter on the Rocks. During Covid times our romantic dinners and nights out transformed into cozy evenings of home-cooked meals and game nights with Ryan’s roommates. Our journey has taken us from family visits in Pagosa Springs to weddings in Dallas and engagement parties in Columbia. A year into our relationship, we decided to make Dallas our home—a dream for Emily and a perfect fit for Ryan, who’s from Plano. Now, as we settle into our new home with our beloved Pookie, we’re thrilled to begin this next chapter of our lives together.
