The Wedding Website of Theodore Hoss and Elisha Klco

Travel Note

This Venue is on an ISLAND! So you will need to ride a Ferry Boat!

Plan ahead for arriving via a Washington State Ferry boat. Driving onto the island is more difficult as you will need a reservation for both you arrival and return voyage. Consider walking on to the ferry and utilizing public transit or our shuttle for the weekend. If you do drive on to the ferry, please consider carpooling, and visiting our carpooling spreadsheet to coordinate rides. Vehicle reservations open up over-time, typically four times a year. 30% of standard vehicle spaces are released 2 months before the season. So spaces for May ferry travel will likely open in February 2026. Consult the Washington State Department of Transportation for more info.

Travel Note

Moran State Park

For anyone looking for something to do during the weekend while we are NOT actively getting married, consider Moran State Park! This park is home to lovely woodlands, lakes, hiking trails, and a drive up to the peak of Mount Constitution (which features a spectacular view). Gorgeous old growth forests with huge trees, silvery cascades, and vibrant ferns lend extra splendor! Plan for the possibility of rain!

Travel Note

The Town of Eastsound

107 Doe Bay Road, Olga, WA 98279

Did we lift this description straight from the scenic Washington Website? Yes we did! (But Eastsound is still a cute place to visit). A fifteen-minute drive from the ferry lies the historic village of Eastsound, Orcas Island’s downtown. Nestled above Fishing Bay, this walkable village bustles with life—a visitor’s dream of galleries, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and a history museum. Art and Music: In Eastsound’s galleries, you’ll find a heady sampling from talented local artists—paintings, ceramics, wood sculpture, photography, jewelry, and fiber art. The Funhouse Commons and Orcas Center are a short walk or drive just north of the village. Food: Casual is the norm on Orcas, which includes most of Eastsound’s restaurants, where you can enjoy a range of favorites from Northwest to Southwest cuisine. Whether you’re in search of simple pub fare, family-friendly cafes, or fine dining with a water view, you’ll find an eatery to fit your taste (and your taste buds)—many featuring organic, Island-grown food. History: In your stroll through Eastsound, you can’t miss the village’s historic homes and buildings from the 1880s. For a stronger dose of history, the Orcas Island Historical Museum, in the heart of town, is rich in island artifacts and photos. The museum is housed in a unique arrangement that links six original homestead cabins (1870s–1890s), important historical artifacts in themselves.
