union station was the old train station in denver that got turned into a mecca of shopping and restaurants and countless beautiful things. its a wonderful place to grab a bite and people watch. one of our first trips to colorado together...they had just finished the renovation and we walked in to 'take a quick look' and stayed for almost five hours. we sipped on old fashioneds and laughed (and took selfies) and took in the wonder.
this is a colorado staple. this is the hotel where "the shining" was filmed...which isn't the part we like. This space is absolutely stunning. and full of history. also the coffee shop has great pastries. we took a day trip up here one perfect winter day. it was joses first time to the mountains. watching his face see the mountains standing so tall was incredible.
this outdoor mall stretches along 16th street downtown denver. it has a movie theatre. bowling alley. book stores. coffee shops. tons of shopping and has some really great restaurants. also its just so pretty when its all lit up at night. oh...and its home to our favorite pizza spot here (see right)
too bougie for the pizza & bowling on 16th st...go to cherry creek. eat. drink and be fancy. cherry creek is next level pretty. and go eat at cherry creek grill (a sister restaurant to the one we work for in manhattan) while you're there.
