Where is the wedding and reception?

Answer

Both are located at the lovely — Phineas Swann Inn & Spa, 195 Main Street, Montgomery Center, VT 05471. The wedding ceremony will be held outside on the back lawn. Social hour will take place in the designated outdoor space in front of the barn, and the reception will follow inside the partially open-air barn.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. Ladies: Consider cocktail dresses or sundresses, long or short, bright or dark colors. Gentlemen: Think suits, or dress pants with a button-down shirt.

What is the weather like?

Answer

The weather is usually nice during the day, not too hot or cold, but it does get a little chilly at night; an umbrella, jacket, or a shawl is recommended.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, we want everyone to be able to come and enjoy the day with us. We have even made arrangements for an on-site sitter and children’s activity center (so that parents can relax too!).

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible by RSVPing “Will Not Attend,” so we can plan accordingly. You will be missed!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive after 1:40 PM and before 2:00 PM to allow adequate time for guests to be seated. The ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM.

Is taxi service available?

Answer

Yes! Uber & taxi services are available in Montgomery Center. However, please keep in mind this is a rural area and service time may be extended.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! There is free parking along Main Street.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP online by June 3.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Visit the RSVP link on our website, or follow this URL: https://www.zola.com/wedding/themillers_2024/rsvp Once there, enter the first and last name of one member of your party exactly as it is spelled on your invitation. You'll be able to RSVP for your entire group using only one name from your party.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please make sure to include the specifics on your RSVP to let us know! We want you to be safe and comfortable!

Is there lodging nearby?

Answer

We have a hotel block at "The Inn" in Montgomery Center, VT, as well as a group code for the "Stateside Hotel" and "Golf & Mountain Cottages" at Jay Peak Resort in Jay, VT. Please see our "Travel" tab for more information.

Are there things to do nearby that you recommend?

Answer

Of course! We would love for you to experience the Northeast Kingdom to its fullest. We have a "Things to Do" tab on our website with a list of all our fave recommendations created especially for you.

How is cell service in this area?

Answer

Cell service can be very spotty in both Montgomery and Montgomery Center, VT. Our venue has great Wifi and a land line that guests can use to make calls if needed. We also recommend turning on "Wifi Calling" on your cell phone. (Note: Cell service is strong in the areas surrounding Montgomery and can be reached within a 5 minute drive.)

How close will we be to Canada?

Answer

Only 12 miles away! If you wanted to cross into Canada, there is a great border crossing in Richford and it's only 20 minutes from our venue. To enter Canada, adults will need a either a Passport Card, Passport Book, or an enhanced NYS driver's license, and kids only need their birth certificates. (Note: Once you get as close as 5 miles away from the Canadian border, your cell phone may think you're already in Canada. To prevent roaming charges, make sure to turn off "Roaming" on your cell phone. Although, many cell service providers only charge $5/day for international calls and data in Canada.)

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Yes, we do! When uploading your pictures on social media, please use our wedding hashtag #AbeAndDebra so we have a chance to see all the special moments you captured.

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Your love and company on our wedding day are more than enough. However, if you do wish to celebrate with a gift, a contribution towards our Amazon Registry or Honeymoon Cash Fund would be much appreciated. Please follow the "Registry" link on this website.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the outdoor ceremony, the bridal party will take pictures nearby for 45 minutes while all other guests will head straight to the Social Hour area (outdoors as well), where we will be serving finger foods and beverages. Feel free to enjoy the music and lawn games.

What time is the reception scheduled to end?

Answer

The last song and send-off will take place at 7:00 pm.

What is the Rainy Day Plan?

Answer

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside the barn, with social hour and the reception following.
