Flights: John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the closest airport. Uber/Lyft are the easiest form of transportation from the airport to Dana Point (about 30 minutes). -OR- San Diego International Airport (SAN) will have more flight options. A 1.5-hour train ride from Old Town Transportation Center to San Juan Capistrano Station is the most cost effective way to Dana Point. There is a shuttle from the airport to Old Town Transportation Center. You will need to Uber/Lyft to your hotel once you arrive in San Juan Capistrano. Here is the link to book train tickets. Please edit the dates that work best for your travel: https://www.amtrak.com/tickets/departure.html Otherwise, Uber/Lyft (about a 1-hour drive) from the airport to Dana Point will be the most convenient option. -OR- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will also have more flight options. Uber/Lyft or Car Rental are the only forms of transportation from the airport. (1.5 - 2 hour drive based on traffic)
