Travel

The Wedding Website of Sydney Newcomb and Robert Garland
We know many of you will be traveling from Southern California, so we’ve gathered a few ways to get here and places to stay.

Train

Amtrak

One of our favorite adventures together was a cross-country train trip, so traveling by train holds a special place for us. The Pacific Surfliner offers a scenic, traffic-free ride from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. When booking, select the direct Pacific Surfliner route for the smoothest experience. The train stops at both San Luis Obispo (SLO) and Grover Beach (GVB), so you can choose whichever station is closest to your accommodations.

Flight

San Luis Obispo Airport

San Luis Obispo Airport (SBP) is a small regional airport just 10 minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo with service from Alaska, United, and American Airlines. It’s also the airport Robert surprised Sydney with a flight to before proposing.

Flight

Santa Barbara Airport

If flying into SLO doesn’t work for you, Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) is another option about 1.5–2 hours south. From there, we recommend renting a car and enjoying the scenic drive north past Lake Cachuma, Solvang, and Los Olivos.

Hotel

Pacific Point Resort

2555 Price Street, Pismo Beach, CA 93449

For the most convenient stay, we recommend booking at the hotel where our ceremony will be held. The ceremony will take place on the lawn, with the reception just next door, making it an easy and walkable accommodation. We don’t have a reserved room block, so feel free to book directly with the hotel or choose other nearby accommodations that work best for you.
