We picked up birding together during COVID, and it’s still one of our favorite hobbies. Sweet Springs Nature Preserve is a peaceful place to walk, relax, and spot local wildlife. This was also the location of our first official date!

Explore Avila Beach
Avila has it all. Shopping, great açaí bowls, coffee, and plenty of spots to grab a drink and watch the sunset on the beach. Fun fact: Sydney's dog Adelaide drank a ton of sea water here and almost poo'd in Robert's old truck on one of our first dates.
Hike Up Pismo Preserve
Get a lay of the land before the wedding with a hike at one of Sydney’s favorite spots.
