Back in college, Krystina's apartment was kind of a big deal. That's where everyone came to hang out on the weekends (and even some weeknights) and play with the zoo (two cats, two dogs - yes, she knew she was crazy). One night, our dear friend Miran wanted to hang out with Krystina's roommate, Anna, and of course, the whole gang of guys came around. They showed up at the door and Miran introduced Brian to the group with "oh, and he's from Connecticut." Naturally, Krystina gravitated towards the fellow Connectiquitian and made him sit next to her so they could talk about his life. They sat and talked to each other the whole night swapping Fairfield County history and realized that their lives were closely intertwined. Our friends were friends, Brian's drum lessons were on the same street that Krystina's best friend lived on, and we both walked the halls of Norwalk High School (unfortunately). Brian kept coming over a lot since then...and he hasn't seemed to have left yet!

On Valentine's Day 2022, Brian left Krystina for a week-long vacation to Hawaii with his Mom and Aunt Nancy. Krystina was being dramatic per usual so she kvetched about him leaving her for a whole week - ON Valentine's Day, no less. Brian, the criminal master mind, arranged for Krystina to receive a gift every day while he was gone. Gift chronology: ● 2/14/2022 Valentine's Day 2022 the first gift arrived - flowers and a teddy bear. ● 2/15/2022 The first key chain arrived: If I had my life to do over, I would find you sooner so I could love you longer. ● 2/16/2022 The second key chain arrived: I love you more than the miles between us. ● 2/17/2022 The third key chain arrived: I love you more. The end. I win. (Lets be honest though, Krystina always wins) ● 2/18/2022 Fuzzy socks - since Krystina is now always cold... ● 2/19/2022 A black box with the saying: You are my best friend, my human diary, my other half, you mean the world to me. I love you. ● 2/20/2022 Another black box with the saying: I can't say I love you enough, so this is your reminder. ● 2/21/2022 Brian came home and promised a big gift, but Krystina correctly assumed the gift was Brian returning. Then 2/22/2022 came around. They woke up and Brian said he had nightmares that night and didn't sleep all that well. Krystina retorted, "It's probably because you're stressed out about proposing today." To which Brian responded, "Or tomorrow. Or the next day. Or this weekend. Or next!" The two moved to the living room to relax and work from the couch and Krystina put on Brian's favorite movie - I Love You, Man - and he had the NERVE to fall asleep. He got about an hour-long nap when he was abruptly woken up by Oliver alerting the neighborhood to the arrival of the Amazon Prime Delivery Associate. Krystina knew she didn't order anything recently on Amazon (although she did start racking her brain thinking maybe she DID order something...) so she asked Brian if he bought anything. He told her to get the packages from the door. She did, and he slightly moved the indoor camera, without her noticing, to capture a very specific portion of the living room. As she opened the package addressed to her she read the title "Wedding Planner" and promptly looked to Brian to find him backing up into the living room and getting down on one knee. "Oh my God. Oh my GOD." "Krystina Avery Lyons," "YES," "Will you finally, FINALLY fucking marry me?" "YES OF COURSE, YES."
