Question

What is the nearest airport to the venue?

Answer

Our wedding venue is located about an hour from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). We recommend flying into this airport.

Question

Is rideshare available to the venue?

Answer

Rideshare services like uber and lyft can be used to get to the venue. However, please NOTE: Rideshare pickups from the venue may be unreliable or unavailable due to the rural location. We strongly recommend arranging a round-trip ride in advance, carpooling with other guests, or driving if you're comfortable.

Question

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of free parking available.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, the venue is accessible. There are also golf carts that can be used to transport individuals around the venue who require it.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends! If your invitation did not include an additional guest, we kindly ask that you attend solo.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Yes! We love your little ones and are happy to include them in the celebration. Children are welcome at all events.

Question

Is it ok for non-Indian guests to wear traditional Indian attire? I don't want to be disrespectful.

Answer

Absolutely! We warmly welcome and encourage all of our guests - regardless of background - to embrace and enjoy traditional Indian attire for the celebration. Wearing Indian clothing is not considered cultural appropriation in this context - it's a sign of respect and participation in the joy and traditions of the wedding. If you're unsure where to start or what to wear, I've provided some guidelines on dress code in the question below.

Question

What's the dress code for our wedding?

Answer

For our Indian events (mehendi-cocktail party and wedding ceremony), we highly encourage traditional Indian attire. For ladies, this includes items of clothing such as lehengas, sarees (look for pre-stitched), sharara suits, or anarkali suits (Ref pinterest board: https://pin.it/LH3XVXYB4). For men, this includes items such as kurta-pajama set or sherwani (Ref pinterest board: https://pin.it/7l8Ao53F6). Ladies, if you're in Charlotte, Nareeka Collection offers a lot of great options. Please be sure to book an appointment if you want to shop there by calling (704) 615-7776. There are also a lot of websites, such as trendia.co, that you can shop from. If obtaining Indian attire is not feasible, no worries! Vibrant, colorful, floor-length dresses for ladies and colorful suits for men will be just fine! Please see question below on any colors that guests should avoid wearing. For our American-style (white-wedding) reception, the dress code is formal attire. This includes nice cocktail dresses or elegant maxi dresses for ladies and suits for men. Lastly, I would recommend that ladies leave their stilettos at home. You'll have more fun wearing wedges or block heels at this venue.

Question

Are there any colors that I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We will be having a traditional Indian wedding ceremony, and the bride will be wearing a red lehenga (traditional wedding outfit), as it symbolizes prosperity, love, and new beginnings. Please refrain from wearing red, as well as wearing white to honor the bride.

Question

Is there a certain color dress code to follow for the events?

Answer

No, there is no specific color dress code for any of our events. You may wear any color ... except for red at the wedding ceremony and white at the American reception.

Question

How many outfits do I need to bring?

Answer

Ideally one for each event you will be attending. If attending multiple events per day, please bring both outfits, as there will be places on premise to store them and change. You are also welcome to return to your lodging to change if you prefer not to bring your second outfit.

Question

What can I do between the daytime and evening events?

Answer

Guests are encouraged to stay on property. There will be games, activities, refreshments, and light snacks available. The venue has several locations to change and freshen up as needed. Guests can also return to their lodging if they desire. Please note that the city of Charlotte is ~40-50 minutes away by car and that the shuttle will not be available for a mid-day run.

Question

What type of food will we be serving?

Answer

We'll be serving a variety of delicious Indian cuisine at our wedding! The menu will feature a mix of traditional favorites with options for vegetarians and vegans, as well. If you have any specific dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know when you RSVP - we'll do our best to accommodate.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout the Mehendi & Cocktail party on 4/25/26 and throughout the Reception on 4/26/2026.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will occur outdoors. The Mehendi & cocktail party, as well as the reception, will take place inside the reception hall but will have an adjoining outdoor space for guests to enjoy.

Question

What kind of weather should I expect in April?

Answer

The Charlotte area typically experiences mild and pleasant spring weather, with average daily high temperatures in the 60s or 70s Fahrenheit (15s or 21s Celsius) and average low temperatures in the 40s or 50s (4s or 10s Celsius). While it can be a beautiful time to visit with comfortable temperatures and blooming nature, the month can also have variable conditions. Expect some days to feel cooler or warmer than others, with possibilities for rain and wind.
