Let's do this!

The first time they met, he approached her during training week at Gold Arrow Camp after hearing she was a writer; he was always looking for people to contribute to Poetry Corner, the skit he'd do during Appreciation Campfire at the end of each session. Truth be told, he thought she was a little standoffish at first, and she didn't really remember the encounter. We'll just chalk it up to first day of camp nerves. They ended up spending the rest of the week together as they both attended Rocks and Ropes training, she as an R&R Activity Counselor and he as a Group Counselor. He thought it was pretty funny that she was making fun of this guy Grover, and she thought it was cool that he thought she was funny. (Making fun of people is mean. Don't do it. Not even to get a guy to laugh at your jokes. She'll never do it again.) When the campers finally came, she was assigned to lead his cabin through Team Building. While his cabin was struggling to rearrange themselves on a log, he came over and started whispering funny things in her ear. She thought he was pretty bold for getting so close to her. At the end of the activity, he slipped a note to her and said she shouldn't read it until he left, as not to embarrass him. The note ended up saying something dumb like, "Nor Cal rules, So Cal drools." She disagreed, but respected his charm. That started a series of note passing. She started sending Shel Silverstein poems to him, not knowing he'd love the hell out of that and want to marry her, but he did. One day on their time off, she decided to drive to Fresno in his car instead of the one she drove down the mountain on. Then they went ice blocking with some great people. Then they went to Legends and danced, and she told him she liked him, and he took her to a classier area and kissed her. Then things were magical. and then they got complicated, and then they really figured things out with a lot of time and decision-making and love, and here they are now. -Not The End
