We met in July of 2018 at our very first job out of college at KPMG. We were placed on the same team and, by chance (or fate), sat right next to each other. Long hours and many late nights quickly became the norm, often including dinner walks to Mariano’s for poke bowls and much-needed breaks from spreadsheets. During those early days, we discovered just how much we had in common—from attending rival high schools, to growing up only 15 minutes apart, to even being born at the same hospital. As work friendships turned into real-life friendships, we began spending time together outside the office in groups with friends. Courtyard grill-outs, exploring the city, and shared weekends naturally led to us becoming part of each other’s lives. By the summer of 2019, our friendship had kindled into something much more, and we quickly found we couldn’t leave each other’s side. The transition felt effortless, and we fell into a rhythm together that felt like home. In January 2020, Jack took another job—perfect timing, as the world soon slowed down. We spent the COVID lockdown together, quarantining across both sets of roommates (Jack’s seven and Kelsey’s four), and making the most of an unexpected season that brought us even closer. Since then, we have been inseparable, moving from Wrigleyville and Lakeview to Lincoln Park and spending our free time with close friends and family. We love traveling together, whether it’s family vacations, spring breaks with friends, visiting loved ones, or discovering new places. Many weekends have also been spent sharpening our golf and fishing skills, but most importantly enjoying the outdoors, sunshine, and time on the water together. While we love to travel, we equally love calling Chicago home—spending time playing beach volleyball, boating on Lake Michigan, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Cubs. In March of 2025, Jack proposed on Chicago’s Riverwalk, and we have been over the moon excited for this next chapter ever since. We are so grateful for our family and friends and cannot wait to celebrate our love with everyone who has been part of our journey.
