Freddy and Bree met in August 2018 as complete strangers, Bree having grown up in Wisconsin her entire life, and Freddy having lived in Florida, Japan, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Alabama as his parents served in the U.S. military. They were brought together one night by simply being in the right place at the right time. Bree had just arrived to Houston, Texas, where she planned to finish her final semester as a student teacher, while Freddy had already been living in Houston for several years, working in the city. Bree still remembers hearing (and being charmed by) Freddy’s deep voice as she walked into an apartment party the night they met. Although they exchanged numbers and continued to run into each other through mutual friends, Bree didn’t take Freddy’s “Hey beautiful” texts too seriously, at least not at first. That was until Freddy, still thinking about the bright and bubbly girl wearing sweatpants, asked her out to dinner. Their first date at Izakaya in Houston was where it all began. Over time, this restaurant turned into "their place" - becoming the spot where they celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and life’s milestones together. One date turned into two, two into three, and before they knew it, Bree was skipping across the parking lot at Top Golf meeting Freddy's parents, and Freddy was bundling up with four layers of clothing to travel to Wisconsin for the first time to meet Bree's family and friends! What began on that unexpected night almost eight years ago has grown into years of Freddy and Bree supporting each other through seasons of love, change, and uncertainty as they've merged their lives together - navigating career changes, enduring time spent long distance, and continuing to choose each other through it all. Along the way, they’ve built a life filled with laughter, danced their way through Houston, enjoyed each holiday surrounded by family, cherished friends who have become family, explored countless beautiful places together, and have patiently awaited this "next chapter." With each year that passes, their love for each other only continues to grow and they wouldn't trade a single moment for the world. What began as a chance meeting has become a life they are proud to carry into marriage. Bringing their family and friends to the place they call home and love so dearly on September 5th, 2026 will truly mark the beginning of forever!
