Dearest Family and Friends, This is probably one of the toughest emails Yoni and I have had to write - we think it should come as no surprise at this point that our wedding will not take place on April 5th as planned. It is a heartbreaking reality that we hoped we wouldn’t have to deal with but it is completely out of our control. As of today, the city of San Francisco has mandated "Shelter In Place" through April 7th. We have reached out to all of our vendors and are working to align on a future date in Austin that we could all postpone to - ideally end of October / beginning of November. We will of course let you all know as we learn plans ourselves and will make sure the wedding website gets updated to reflect this, as well. Our hope is to have these details locked in by the end of the week. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and expressed their love and support. It has really meant a lot to us during this difficult time. That said, we are not giving up and look forward to celebrating one day with all of you! (And who knows, maybe this means some of you who weren't originally able to attend now can!) Till then, please stay healthy and safe. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. It's your classic San Francisco love story. Girl opens app. Girl searches "Jewish" on app. Girl finds cute guy with cute dog who seems funny and "favorites" his profile. San Francisco has been a big part of Becca and Yoni's story. They went on their first date on March 15, 2017 in the Lower Haight at Maven (after an attempt to sit at Black Sands was thwarted by an organized beer crawl.) They spent the next few hours talking over several glasses of rose and olives, a tradition that has continued since. Afterwards, Yoni offered to walk Becca home when they realized they lived in the same neighborhood. Even better, they lived 2 blocks from each other with the historical "Haight-Ashbury" intersection as the cross section of their two apartments. (Becca's first thought was 'this had better work out because I am NOT finding a new grocery store.') 3 years later... it's working.
